Like either of us are a good judge of that. [ he had found smiling when in a bad mood tended to have a terrible effect on the conversation. mostly because it looked somewhat crazy. ]

[ a grimace and a soft noise in the back of his throat, though it's mainly due to the thought of losing his Heart, quite frankly, is something distasteful and leaves a sick feeling in his mouth, rather then sympathy for his alternate's plight.

[He doesn't want sympathy for something stupid he's done. It was his fault or becoming the way he is. If he removes his blindfold- he has to accept the darkness. This is the only thing keeping him somewhat normal.

[ and he can acknowledge that. his own blindfold is just as much a way to lie to himself as it is a minor comfort. It was also one of the only things keeping him sane.

Heroes tend to require a boot to the behind in the right direction. And sometimes, lies are for their own good, right?
