[There's an unfamiliar girl laying unconscious in the middle of a street. She looks to be about ten years old, dressed in a grey tank top with another - this one black, navy, and yellow - wrapped over top and tied in place with a light blue rope belt. Her pants are worn, a deep red in colour, and tucked into a pair of brown boots quite similar to the kind a ~~pirate~~ sea-going traveler might wear. Her boots seem coated in drying sea water, though she's not really anywhere near the beach. A wooden sword, much better made than the ones Destiny Islands inhabitants may be familiar with, lays a couple feet away from her hand.]

(ooc: Brief info in profile, future folks will not recognize her as she's from an alt timeline.)

Oh right he was getting her a room, wasn't he. Are they even in the building yet.]

[Uhh they're probably at least in the building, yeah. She's doing her best to memorize everything, since this isn't a building she ever really visited back home.]

[They are taking the stairs because Aden likes to avoid people and a lot of people are lazy. Besides he lives on like the top floor almost. But he figures she can handle it.]

Where'd you live before?

In a house with mom and dad. It was one of those buildings with two houses in one.

[Basically like what the version with baby Aden lives in, except minus baby Aden and baby Inaya. Also she can totally handle the stairs.]

...huh.

[It sounds like it! Aden's seen it before, even if he's never chanced getting close.]

Who lives in the other house?

Axel and Kai do.

[The more things change, the more they stay the same!]

[It's almost eerie how similar they are.]

Well who else would?

[Unless their Sora showed up, it's pretty unlikely anyone other than Kai would live there.]

Beats me. Just felt like asking.

[He doesn't usually have a good reason for the things he does.]

[She nods, because she gets those urges pretty often, too!]

Are we there yet?

Almost. Just a couple more floors.

[He glances at her.]

Think you'll make it?

[She puffs up, insulted.]

Of course I will! I just didn't know what floor you were on!

[He's grinning by the time she's done talking.]

I can already tell I'm going to like you.

If you didn't I'd probably hit you with my sword. Or throw things at you.

[...At least she's honest.]

And then I'd introduce you to my girlier friends who like targets for dress-up.

[Since bug types are probably ineffective.]

[And also probably do something not as physically painful to the girlier friends.]

I would treat the black eye like a trophy.

[He really would. Bruises are fun to play with.]

[She's sticking her tongue out at him, yes. Even though every injury is totally something to be proud of. BATTLE SCARS, MAN. War wounds!!]

[Oh look they've reached his floor. He's going to... not dig out his keys, because he hardly ever locks his door. Bad habit, Aden. Bad habit.]

I bet.

[Oh tsk, Aden. Nah, it's not like people make a habit of breaking into homes here!]

So.

[He opens his door and shoves it open. If she cares to get close enough (and he wouldn't be surprised if she's the type of kid who just walks right in), it smells like dirt and smoke and possibly decay. Maybe a few chemicals.]

This is my place. There are free rooms there, there, and there, last I checked.

[He points, at the side of the hall across from his room. They're scattered, but one's right next to the place across from his.]

Okay.

[Nope, she's going to go look around the free rooms before she invades his home!]

[...he's gonna follow to see what they're like.]

[That's probably a good idea. As a ten year old, she's probably not the best for choosing somewhere to live.]

[He just wants to make sure they didn't get claimed somehow and he's not sending his little not-sister to meet some pedophile.]
