(no subject)

[There's an unfamiliar girl laying unconscious in the middle of a street. She looks to be about ten years old, dressed in a grey tank top with another - this one black, navy, and yellow - wrapped over top and tied in place with a light blue rope belt. Her pants are worn, a deep red in colour, and tucked into a pair of brown boots quite similar to the kind a ~~pirate~~ sea-going traveler might wear. Her boots seem coated in drying sea water, though she's not really anywhere near the beach. A wooden sword, much better made than the ones Destiny Islands inhabitants may be familiar with, lays a couple feet away from her hand.]

(ooc: Brief info in profile, future folks will not recognize her as she's from an alt timeline.)

[Kira is quickly making Elysia really really angry.]

You expect me to be nice when you get in my face and tell me that I'm supposed to have siblings and cousins like I don't know my own family?! I don't even know you, why should I believe you or 'behave' when you're being rude, too!

[Kira is heroically resiting the urge to turn Elysia over her knee and spank her]

I'm not being rude. I'm trying to help you. I told you about my family because you said they're your family too, but we don't know each other. And I'm more experienced with this time travel stuff. But if you don't want my help, I'll leave you here alone. But with the way this place works, you'd probably run into Auntie Piku's younger self and she'd really make you cry!

[Elysia would not hesitate to attempt to beat the crap out of Kira if she even tried. Not to mention she'd be screaming about rapists, because uh hello, total stranger! There are angry tears in her eyes now and she's doing her best not to let her lip quiver.]

You are being rude! You're being a complete jerk and I hate you already! I know who my parents are, and who my family are, and I don't care if you know about time travel stuff! I never asked for your help, you're the one who kept pushing your stuff on me because you apparently know my parents! Just leave me alone!

[She immediately turns her head away to scrub at her face, biting her lip hard and doing her best not to cry. Kira's got her rather worked up, not to mention incredibly frustrated and confused.]

[... Kira now knows why her parents and aunt and uncles tend to look really tired all of the time]

I don't care if you hate me, but I'm not going to leave you alone if you're lost. You could get into too much trouble. If you don't believe me, then I'll take you to Daddy and maybe he can figure things out and you can see if he's your Uncle Ri.

[You know, if Kira hadn't gone and said something like are you sure you know who your parents are and acted like Elysia should have been perfectly behaved when she's a lost, confused ten year old with some stranger claiming she's family and that there's a ton of other family members she should know, she'd probably be a little more agreeable. As it is, she takes a moment to scrub those angry tears away and turns to run off.]

Wha-- hey, come back here! You're not allowed to run away like that!

[Kira will be, of course, chasing after Elysia if necessary, because she's some sort of family and there's bound to be trouble if something happens to her]

[Elysia doesn't respond; she seems to be heading toward the coast as quick as her legs can take her. Which is pretty quick, considering she may or may not have inherited a little bit of that speed and strength from her werewolf mother!]

[Kira will still be chasing after, even if being speedy isn't exactly her specialty]

[Well lucky for Kira, Elysia will be stopped at the beach, her sword held loosely beside her and a sad expression in place.]

[Kira will stop a respectable distance away, trying to catch her breath from the run, and waiting to see what Elysia does next]

[She's just standing there, staring out at the water. Her 'ship' is missing, as is the special dock that had been built just for her to put it. It's strange to see, and saddening.]

[Kira will wait quietly, because she knows what it's like to expect something to be somewhere and then find out it has all changed]

[If Kira's expecting her to say something, she'll be waiting for quite some time. Elysia doesn't seem too keen on talking.]

[once Kira thinks it's okay, she'll be coming closer slowly]

... Elysia?

Why're you still following me?

[She sounds angry, but it's really only to mask the fact that she's upset.]

I wouldn't leave you alone. You're family.

[good thing Kira is used to outbursts]

No I'm not. You don't even know me.

[And Elysia doesn't know Kira. She doesn't feel comfortable being called family by someone she doesn't know at all.]

That doesn't mean that I don't want to get to know you.

[Kira is used to having mysterious family members show up, disappear, get older, younger and change sexes; she can roll with it]

[She doesn't say anything to that. She still isn't about to call Kira family, and doesn't like that the other girl is, because she's a stranger.]

[she sighs a little bit]

I can at least point out the houses that I'm sure you'll want to avoid, unless you plan on talking to the versions of your parents living in this time.

...okay.

[She just sort of hangs her head in defeat, sighing.]

Auntie Piku and Uncle Red and Uncle Kai and Uncle Axel actually live near each other. I'll show you their houses, and if you avoid their block, you should be okay. My family still lives in the apartment building, in our hallway.

Okay.

[The whole 'our hallway' thing sounds a bit weird, but she figures it just means they've got more than one suite between them all.]

[Kira will lead the way to the suburbs and her relatives' houses]

I know that I'm from 15 years in the future or so. But I'm not sure about you.

[She shrugs as she follows Kira, not really knowing or having any way to judge.]
