[ It looks like Riku's packed to go on a trip, dragging what would be a small truckload of items in a wagon down the street. Paper bags, mostly, with a heavy backpack secured over one shoulder. It's a particularly warm summer evening, and she's wearing a pair of baggy shorts with an equally loose t-shirt. One that falls off of her shoulders to reveal the yellow straps of what's probably a bathing suit underneath. But swimming isn't in her plans.

Now, there aren't many places to travel to in that particular kind of attire, and her destination is fairly predictable. She's heading toward the docks, after all. That being said, she's probably willing to take along some company. ]

[well, in the meantime, Apricot's going to do that cat thing where they sit and stare at you while you eat, because they know they're going to get something out of it. the movie's progressing pretty predictably, with the ninja assassin turning out to be a lowly shopkeeper by day! but oh shit, these bad guys are in town now and want to kill him for killing the other dude, and one of them saw him without his mask on last night, when it got ripped off in a fight! they're gonna recognize him in town, oh noes!]

This movie is the most predictable thing ever.

Yep.

[At least they're in agreement. It's kind of lame. But it's still entertaining, in a way. Sort of. I don't know, she's enjoying watching it with him, anyway. Eventually she's going to notice Apricot, though, and he'll get a raised eyebrow.]

Is there anything he doesn't eat?

We haven't found it yet, if there is. He's kind of like me that way.

[pulls off a piece of pancake and holds it out for Apricot, who reluctantly turns his attention away from Riku to take it with his front paws and eat it.]

[She smirks widely at that. Obviously she'd been thinking that exact thing when she said it, but she was polite enough not to go that route. She watches Apricot with some amusement. If and when he turns back to her he'll get a piece of pancake from her, too.]

He's interesting.

[Axel is a human garbage disposal, everyone knows this. Apricot does indeed turn his focus back to Riku, and :O thank you for more pancake, omg.]

Yep. Did Kai ever tell you about how the other-him found his own Apricot?

[Will Apricot accept pettings while he's eating or should she wait until he's done with that pancake piece? Decisions decisions. Serein is equally spoiled, don't worry.]

Yeah, he told me.

[Apricot loev pettings any time. <3]

I asked Apricot that one time he turned into a kid if he remembered anything from his home world before Kai found him, and he said he didn't really, which he and I both figured was just as well. Nothing to be sad about missing, that way. It was a pretty cool place, though.

[congratulations, you are now remembering what Apricot said about Axel doing "that thing with his penis". you're welcome.]

Huh...

[Yeah she'd managed to forget about that all this time, but remembering the time he was human brings the memory back. Kind of hard to hide how she starts choke-coughing on pancake out of nowhere.]

[he reaches over to thump her gently on the back a few times, looking concerned. damn, should've brought something to drink in with them. D: ]

Need me to go get some water or something?

[She shakes her head, setting her fork down so she's coughing into both hands. She's not choking, she just got a little strangled out of shock. She's recovering quickly.]

I'm fine.

[he frowns in more concern, but doesn't even consider that it might be anything to do with bad mental images and/or memories of Apricot being innocently awful and scarring.]

If you're sure. Food just go down the wrong way?

Yeah.

[lol like hell is she going to tell him what she was thinking about. But she looks like she'll be okay now.]

[Apricot's just innocently cleaning crumbs off his whiskers, like he never did anything terrible while he was human. Axel settles back into the couch, satisfied that Riku's not going to die or anything.]

Just as well, you probably don't want me having to do CPR on you or something.

[She holds her hand up as if to stop him, shaking her head.]

No thanks.

Yeah, see. That's what I thought. No choking on stuff, or you get mouth to mouth, and considering my luck, Kai would probably walk in while I was trying to revive you.

[he's grinning, though, eyes on the TV again. idek what's going on in the movie now, probably something with people getting stabbed from behind or something.]

Considering my luck isn't any better than yours, that sounds about right. At least I could say it was your fault.

[She pokes at the remains of her pancake, not quite eager to eat immediately after choking. The movie is more or less background noise, to her. Talking with Axel is more fun.]

[yeah, he's not really paying attention either. Apricot's gone back to try and mooch from Axel, but is getting ignored.]

What, that you choked on delicious pancakes? How is that my fault?

[She pauses with her mouth open to answer, then tilts her head as she thinks.]

I'll come up with something.
