... I need to post with not-Xehanorts some time soon. ^^;
[Little family scene, over here, at a table in a plaza - with Xehanort making a rather complicated pile of notes, while Desiree attempts to escape her seat to get her hands on his papers. Hey, they make rustly noises. This works for her.
Her dad, otherwise, is being rather thoughtful.
This could work. Really, it could. In theory. But would the result be a true keyblade? Anything would be progress, though...]

I like your Xehanorts. ;D
He has a new base to scout out and settle into, and he's still shuddering a little from his short encounter from a female not-Ausem and her Darkness had him feel ill.
But just as he passes by a few feet from the table, Riku slows as he senses a familiar swirl of Darkness and overwhelming Light pulsing nearby, his head turning blindly in that direction. ]
... Hero?
[ Why is there a... small brat with you? ]
The rest of my characters are gonna get jealous. Or something. :p
Well, it's been a while since I heard that one, but if you like...
/grabby hands at your Xehanorts
[ Riku closes the rest of gap between them and then promptly plops himself down at the table like he owns it, on the opposing side from the tiny girl. Cocky, haughty bastard he is.
And then he glances at Xeha, bright orange eyes alert behind the strip of black cloth covering them. ]
Hero, since did you start carting a small brat around?
XD Hey, careful with 'em!

Wait... This isn't just some kid you picked up somewhere in the middle of nowhere?
[ Please tell he didn't miss this much while roaming around in the Darkness and the World That Never Was.
In case you don't know, he hasn't realized Xehanort's the older version. Thanks blindfold. Just that his Light/Darkness is...
Really, really strange. ]

Riku... how old was I when you met me last? What was the last thing you saw of me before you came here?
no subject
And damn straight he pulled though for you. ]
... I think I told you already, Xehano—Xeha. Castle Obilvion, and that stupid friend of yours, Braig.

Just as his Darkness/Light begins to shiver and twist in warning in his chest, he slips the black blindfold back on. ]
So that's why your scent was so weird.

I've been here for about - five, six years. I came shortly after ... well, the job was done at home.
no subject
... Did you manage to pull though without fucking up too many things up along the way, hero?
[ This is important srs brs. ]
no subject
Yeah. Things ... worked out okay in the end.

There's a long pause as Riku absorbs that, gloved fingers tap, tap, tapping on the table.
And then; ]
. . . I can't believe I'm saying this... But.
Thanks, Xeha.

Come on, sit down. You look like you need a break.

Keyblade research?
no subject
That's right. I'm wondering about what possibilities might be available that I haven't examined yet. It's something I've been working on for quite a while.

[He pushes some notes across.]
Synthesis, physical construction, various spells and charms... ways, possibly, of scanning hearts and using that as some sort of base, although I'm a little concerned as to where that might lead.
no subject
Perhaps a minimum requirement of light within the heart?

You're probably right there.
