[ Guess where Riku is. Go on, guess. If you guessed the library, you're right! And now she's naked in the library. So she's sending a mass text to everyone in her contacts. And probably several people not in there, knowing the DR's magic.

"Please tell me a spell hit and it's not just me."

She is clearly thrilled. ]

[Riku pokes her head through the portal, using the convenient swirling darkness as cover before she ducks behind a display of some sort.]

Kira?

Under... uhm... here...

[you might see a flailing hand under a mountain of shoes and boxes]

[She's going to lean against the nearest solid surface, arms crossed over her chest.]

Are you okay?

Just a bump on the head. And... uhm. I whacked my elbow. Oww... it's gonna bruise...!

[she's making her way out of the pile]

Try a cure?

[If it's that serious... Kira's super duper senses should pick up on the elevated darkness in the store now.]

It's silly to use a cure for a little bump. I'll be okay.

[she emerges, scrabbling to use shoebox lids to cover up her Not To Be Seen Parts; and she does notice the darkness and looks towards you, making sure to keep her eyes on the floor]

Are... are you okay, Riku-pie?

[She appreciates that, even if Kira wouldn't see anything between her arms and the display.]

I'm fine. Just landed hard.

Do you need a cure?

[Kira sounds more worried than normal]

No. I'm fine.

[Honest!]

I guess I'm being silly. I mean, you can do the spell, too. Even if you're stubborn.

What's stubborn about that?

I mean not healing yourself even if you're hurt bad. D-Daddy is like that...

[and now Kira looks sad all over again]

[Unlike her older self, Riku is completely oblivious. She raises an eyebrow at the sad look, but that's all.]

That's a pretty common trait around here.

[Kira notices that and blinks at you a little, holding the box lids closer to herself]

... you... you don't know about D-Daddy...?

[She's kind of wondering why Kira's surprised. She makes it a point to avoid the future crew when she can.]

Know what? What happened?

[she thought you'd at least have heard about this, her features crumpling as she tries to spit the words out]

D-Daddy... he's... he... he h-had a h-heart attack.

[Not a clue. She looks completely stunned when Kira manages to say it.]

... What? When?

A... a couple weeks ago. H-he's still... he sleeps alot.

[and Riku knowing Ri means it must be very bad since Ri bounces back quickly from nearly everything]

[She looks worried pretty instantly. This is something she'd never even considered the possibility of happening.]

How's he doing otherwise?

He's... Uncle Kai checked him out Uncle Axel did something and I know there were a lot of curagas, but potions don't really work on heart attacks. I... Mama said his heart might be damaged, but it's probably not because of the magic. Daddy's just... he seems tired.

...yeah, that makes sense. He needs to rest, after something like that.

[She is so incredibly relieved to hear Kai's name above all the others, because the older Kai must be ten times better at taking care of people than the one she knows, and that is saying something big.]

He's also not allowed to eat certain things. Me and Mama are working on putting together a healthier diet for him. It's just... he doesn't seem like Daddy anymore. It's not right.

... He'll be alright. He's Ri. He just needs a lot of time to recover.

[She might be trying to reassure both of them, but mostly she just wants to make Kira feel better.]

But it's not right! We were supposed to be safer and happier in this time, but all these bad things keep happening. It's not fair!

[and now she's crying, because she's been pretty stressed these past few weeks]
