U: Some of you might know this one..

[ Since his request to have others gather suitable samples was denied, Vexen was forced to gather poor, unfortunate souls for his most recent string of testing. Much to his chagrin, but he could deal with it since it was for science. Thus, for the sake of efficiency, he brought along a bottle of chloroform and a rag.

Now, when he stepped out of the portal, nothing looked amiss in what he assumed was Twilight Town. So he went about his business, creeping through the shadows and back alleys so as not to be seen, nabbing loners here and there when no one else was present to see him. It was a good thing he was doing this himself, too, because the Dusks that were supposed to be carrying them back to his lab were playing with the unconscious bodies. Shiva knows what they'd be doing it he weren't here. ]

Pay attention! They're not your play things, nor will I tolerate you miscreants being careless with my specimens. Quickly, now! Take them to be quarantined!

(( U: Guess who just found this place. ))

oh hai

[Skulking around finds her in alleys far, far too often quite frankly.]

They may need specifics, given so many locations to choose from.

[Not that vocal commentary means she has to show herself right off the bat. Especially given that one vile animal posing as a double she stumbled across once.]

Hitting a learning curve about how many threads I can do at once.

[She's just chilling in these shadows here.]

For one thing they aren't following instructions. That being generally a fairly specific indicator they don't comprehend the order.

Given dusks are not terribly clever the most likely causes lie in lack of specifics or a logic error.

Making the wild assumption you know better than to make those errors and comparing the description I've overheard to my own knowledge of the number of locations matching the description; the conclusion is that 'you don't know where you are yet.'

On the positive side, I feel she is somewhat popular

The coordinates are no longer available to them; perhaps it is a benefit of their simple natures that they didn't just dump potential specimens at random.

'Here,' colloquially referred to as 'The Dressing Room,' is an inter-dimensional nexus sharing passing similarities with Traverse town, The World That Never Was and occasionally black holes or religious notions of purgatory.
The populace is drawn from thousands upon thousands of alternate universes and realities, usually from the same pool of people. All of them trapped and released at seemingly random intervals, causing numerous multiples of most individuals.

[Oh fine she'll stop skulking in shadows but only because this is a very melodramatic point with which to do so but only because he isn't stuffing his face with corpses.]

In short, it's a large pocket dimension made of a patchwork of worlds and a vehement disregard for reality.

The hard part is the second I picked her up I suddenly wanted to pair her with ALL the ladies

Original.

[See the trouble with fading is it's awfully hard to do science when you don't exist. So escape isn't as high on the to-do list for her as it may be for him.]

Similarities seem limited, likely to that which is common between instances of the castle between universes, and overall not especially useful given the nature of the population. Considering others will think to visit the castle as well.

... you really shouldn't kidnap people. It's wrong.

[says this teenage girl who is watching Vexen and those Dusks warily]

[identity profile] daddyhasagun.livejournal.com 2011-05-28 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
By... everyone's standards, I think. Unless you're a bad person. Are you a bad person?

[she's watching where that person goes, and you really don't want to capture her she doesn't look to bright and would be useless for anything]

[identity profile] daddyhasagun.livejournal.com 2011-05-28 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
But we're not talking about knowledge, we're talking about kidnapping people. And kidnapping people is bad and you'll get in big trouble here if you do it,

[what, you can't sense the large amount of Light coming from her? she's keeping an eye on those Dusks, but is getting a bit distracted because multitasking is sometimes not Kira's friend]

[What Lexaeus is doing in the alleys (apart from looking incredibly out of place) is anyone's guess. But whatever the reason, there he is.]

I trust you have a place to store them?

[identity profile] asparkofsilence.livejournal.com 2011-05-30 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
[That is entirely possible. He nods at the comment.]

Both the one we called home and Castle Oblivion, yes.

Who had you intended to commission such a thing from?

Is it too late to hit this thread?

[She approaches him cautiously, trying to figure out if he is who she thinks he is. He looks like Vexen. He sounds like Vexen. This is Grandpa Vexen, right?]

Grandpa Vexen?

[identity profile] michiko-kanda.livejournal.com 2011-06-02 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
[She smiles happily, approaching closer. Zexion told her Vexen would act like this so she's not bothered.]

Daddy said to call you that. He said you'd react like that. Though it's a little weird you haven't aged since I was five, Grandpa.

((ooc: Sorry ^^;; Vexen might end up with the unofficial title of 'Grandpa' to her, despite his protests...))

[identity profile] michiko-kanda.livejournal.com 2011-06-02 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
[She is twelve and has long out grown such habits, thank you very much.]

Daddy Zexion says you practically raised him. He said that you were the only father he ever really knew.
