Poison running through my veins

[So far Aqua has managed to keep her cool pretty well in the DR. She's been in and out of the place, dragged back at the most inconvenient times, she's had to deal with trolls time and time again, she's been worried about her friends, and downright depressed at not being able to help them. But for the most part, she's managed to keep it from getting to her.

Until today. It seems that everything's finally just piled up and is bringing her crashing down. She's frustrated, at everything. Her Light is dimmer than it's ever been before, and for the first time, there seems to be Darkness threatening to seep into her heart.

And to top it all off, she has no idea how to deal with it. At this point, she's just angry. At this place, at the people, and at herself.

She'd love a troll to take this out on.]

[Ven's up on a ledge, sitting there with an unreadable look. This is the first time he's come across an Aqua in his time here, so he's not sure what to make of this, only that he's definitely got issues and seeing her just brings up the fact that his friends left him in the dark.]

Hey. Do you wanna spar? [He know he'll more than likely get his butt kicked, but - a fight would do him good. Maybe. Either way, he's standing up and looking down at her.]

[Not quite a troll, but this Ven looks a little suspicious with that armor of his. And he senses that dim light...

It's pretty interesting, to say the least.]

[Here, have a troll for good measure. He's just kinda looming in the shadows like a creeper.]

[Hearing Ven's voice snaps her out of her thoughts for a moment, before it registers what he actually said.]

Uh, sure..If you want?

[...She doesn't want to take this out on him though. She'll have to try to focus on being happy to see a Ven again.]

[...Ooh, that is really not what she needed to see right now.]

V-ven?

[No, not again. This cant have happened again!]

[He bristles a little. Careful, Aqua.]

It's Ventus.

[Ah, just what she needed. Though she cant say it's a particularly good thing that she's gotten so used to being trolled that she can sense him so easily.

Turns to glare at those shadows.]

You want something?

[Grumpy grumpy secretly happy for the chance to fight but still grumpy.]

[Blink. So, it's not Vanitas possessing him? That's new.

....And considering that dark armor, it's not that better.]

...What happened to you?

It'll do us both good. [He will take his own frustration out on her, though he's dimly aware this isn't his Aqua. But it doesn't matter to him.

She looks like the one who abandoned him to the darkness. It's enough.]

When you are ready. [And jumping down off the ledge and into a ready stance.]

[Let's not forget that this Aqua could likely kick his ass. Not that she'd want to.

...Summons her keyblade and gets into stance.]

...Ready.

[True, true!

As soon as she says she's ready, Ventus blanks his mind and rushes in, heading straight for the physical attacks at close range. At this point, his style still looks like a Ven's, just... a tad more brutal-minded.

[She'll start by using barrier to block his attacks and, and counter strike to throw him off balance.]

[dfgasgh DX! Owowow! Of course he stumbles a bit - It's not as hard as his Vanitas hits, but it still catches him off guard because he wasn't expecting this - has forgotten how Aqua fights and it shows. But he's recovering as fast as he can and just, aiming to get in and do as much damage as he can, never mind his own pain. Because brute force always worked with Vanitas and the 'lessons'. Even if only for a bit before he inevitably lost... ]

[She's frowning at seeing that. Brute force isn't the fighting style she's used to seeing Ven use. And it's rarely all that effective without a strategy to go with it.

Hm. Maybe she can turn this into a lesson of her own.

She's going purely on the defensive now, blocking and dodging. Trying to force him to come up with a strategy that isn't just 'hit it and hit it hard']

[It's more a Vanitas style, and Ven's only stratagem is hit it and hit it hard because he rarely has a chance to do anything else. Though, here and there, his own style peeks out, mostly in how fast he changes direction and his combos. Though with Aqua blocking and dodging like she is... It's annoying and frustrating and he's gotten complacent, he knows it. Or has the little traitor of a friend gotten better, a dark voice hisses inside him. She's moved on, you know. Forgooten you, this is just an act. Make her pay, show her what happens to traitors-- The voice sounded like his Vanitas, and Ven's nods to himself grimmly. He's not one for bloodlust, but--

He needs to make her pay, somehow. He's the best at his magic, but if that's what it takes to make her stop being as annoying....

Have a blizzard your way, but he's not going to stay still because staying still only invites retaliation. And Ventus wants to win here if he can.]

[Are you forgetting who the magic user of the group was, Ven? Trying to beat her with magic is just going to wind up getting you hurt. Or humiliated. Either way, little miss mage here wont be losing that easily.

She dodges it easily, and throws a blizzaga his way. Mostly trying to remind him that she's good at magic and he wont beat her that way. Come on Ven. Use your strong points. Use your speed.]

[Sadly, he was forgetting that little fact, so he's going to end up both when that blizzaga gets him on the arm and he hisses, glaring daggers at his once friend and ignoring that voice at the back of his head that screams for blood. Ignoring the sting of humiliation. It's nothing, he tells himself. Nothing but a minor setback but why does it hurt what little pride he has so badly?

He wasn't fast enough, that's what he chalks it up to.

Another shake of his head - Hi Fever Pitch and he's going in again, ignoring that one arm's pretty much frozen - it doesn't warrant a cure, not yet, not until the battles over. As painful as it is, it beats dark firaga burns any day and those hurt like hell.

Time for more combos.]

Nothing's happened. What you see is what you get.

[He crosses his arms.]

Don't mind me-- I'm content with watching.

[A turn.]

After all, it's not every day Keyblade Masters start falling into darkness. Especially one like you.

[That kinda hits a nerve.]

[She wont give in that easily. The Darkness wont take her. At least, that's what she believes.]

[She'd be happy to cure it for him. Though she's sure he wouldn't appreciate it before the match is over. So she'll wait.

Fever Pitch however, is difficult to avoid. So she's mostly trying to block his attacks now. Though he's definitely getting some hits in.]

[Frowns. So much.]

Not many Ventus' here are so Dark...

[It very clearly bothers her.]

Darkness, light. Does it really matter? I'm balanced.

[Balanced, huh?]

But you side with Master Xehanort, dont you?

He's my Master.

[he crosses his arms. Aqua might notice a bit of... tenseness in him.]

What he's doing is wrong.

[She does notice, and she cant help but wonder a little about it.]

He's doing it for the worlds.

[Not that he's... completely convinced.]

He's doing it for himself. He doesn't care about the worlds or else he wouldn't be doing so much harm to the people in them.

It's the only way. The Keyblade War and the χ-blade are just a means to an end.

The end does not justify the means. People are getting hurt. It's wrong.
