[There's a flash high in the sky as something catches the light of the sun, then something large and white can be seen falling into the ocean. It hits the waves with a high splash and disappears under the water, only to bob to the surface shortly after. It's egg-shaped and opaque, and almost looks like a closed flower before it buds. It'll take a while, but it will eventually wash up on the beach, thankfully before Monstro discovers it.]

[ she does not visit the beach often. usually it reminds her of her failure at Castle Oblivion and as such she feels nothing positive when there. occasionally, however, she makes her way to it just in case; someone might become suspicious of a Naminé that lurked only in places a Naminé probably shouldn't be. it's awfully hard to be suspicious of a little girl enjoying the fresh air. ]

[Will she recognize the pod for what it is when she sees it? It seems to be unharmed from its dunking in the water.]

[ of course she will. how would she not recognize something so important? she's much too weak to move the thing, but will at least she if she can get it open. ]

[There's no keypad stand with this one, unfortunately. Even the base doesn't appear to have made the trip. She'll have to locate the emergency panel to get the pod open.]

[ she doesn't need a keypad. she knows these things inside and out by now. ]

[Good thing, too. When she does get it open the petals release a weak puff of mist, only to grind to a stop halfway open. There's no sound from inside, but there is room for her to look in and see the Sora crumpled at the bottom.]

[ a small frown tugs at her lips when she realizes the pod isn't going to open all the way. it would be awkward enough trying to get this Sora out normally with her lack of strength, but adding in having to maneuver him out around the broken opening on top of that? she hopes she can get him to wake up instead. ]

Sora.

[There's a good-sized lump on the side of his head, not that she can see it under all that hair. His arms are bruising though, as well as his legs in a couple places. Without the rest of the equipment, the anti-gravity just couldn't keep doing its job. She may need to try a little harder to wake him.]

[ her frown turns into a deep scowl and she backs away from the pod for a moment. does she want to put in the effort to heal this stupid boy up before she can do any work with him? she already has one person under her control, and that one can actually fight. ]

[Can she even work a Cure spell? He doesn't have any potions, and even if he did it's questionable that they'd have survived in better condition than Sora himself.]

[ she knows no magic at all, never mind something like Cure. she's tempted to just leave him here to rot. ]

[She would definitely need to put in the effort if she wanted to eventually control him. At least the water isn't yet getting into the pod? It seems to have washed up far enough to be stuck there until the tide comes in.]

[ is he worth the effort? she doesn't really think so... maybe she'll just let him drown. ]

[As large as the pod is, someone is bound to find him before then. Hopefully. So mean, Namine.]

[ she's only nice to people she likes, or people she finds useful. ]

[Hopefully not too long though. While Vexen can be terribly patient when curiosity strikes, she is no fan of beaches. All that sand... salt water... fresh air... sunlight... All that nature everywhere.

It's only pure chance she spotted it at all.]

[Too bad Vexen doesn't have power over the water. She'll have had to wait for the tide to bring it in. There's not a sound from inside when it slides to a stop on the sand at the edge of the surf.]

[Theoretically she could use ice to pull it in faster, but that would be a terrible waste of energy. This is what carrying reading material is for.

Once it's at the shore though, she'll freely expend the energy to freeze the surrounding water for a couple of reasons: 1. to stop it drifting out again, 2. to keep her boots dry when she approaches it.]

[Such a cheater. There's no console to use to open it up, so she'll have to locate the emergency panel if she expects to operate the thing. Happy belated Easter?]

[It probably won't really take all that long for her to find since she has a pretty good idea of what to look for, but frankly, if all else failed she probably wouldn't be squeamish about employing fairly brutal amounts of magic.
Thankfully she's a clever girl and knows the proper way to dick about with these things that she doesn't resort to that sort of frivolousness immediately.]

[As soon as she finds uses it the pod will attempt to open. It isn't meant to open on its side though, and the sand itself keeps it from opening fully. It's more than enough to see the battered occupant inside though. It's a small Sora sprawled on the current floor of the pod, one that hasn't yet had his growth spurt. The anti-gravity failure when the pod was taken from its base has had some painful-looking effects on him in the course of his trip.]

[As examination of the contents hasn't directly deterred her, her mind is made up.

Clearly it's time to force the upper segments open at the joints. The action being not at all unlike glacial erosion, but certainly a hell of a lot faster.
Because, does anyone really care if this is potentially hideously damaging to already damaged equipment?]

[He'll be oblivious to it all, even the complaint of the pod's petals when they're forced to open further manually. There does seem to be a small cricket crawling out from his hood however, its movement erratic as though still disoriented. What do, Vexen?]

[~~run bug through with ice needle~~Except no, she won't do that. She'll just cast cure. If it doesn't help she'll go fuck it and carry him off to a lab somewhere.]

[The cure does help somewhat! His bruises have disappeared at least, and.. Oh dear. He seems to have rolled over right onto that cricket. There's a trace of blood on the inner wall where his head was before he moved, but the cure seems to have taken care of that cut, too.]

Nnn...

[Yay, no heavy lifting for her then. For now it's patience, because really, while there is more she could do, she can't be bothered wasting the effort.]

[His eyes are a little dilated when he finally opens them, and he's staring at the white of the inside of the pod for nearly a minute before it seems to really click that something isn't quite right. Vexen is pretty hard to miss when he turns his head, and it sparks a vague memory of someone blonde before he went to sleep. He hasn't yet tried to sit up, but he does roll over toward his back with a bit of a wince.]

... Hello?

What's the last thing you remember?

[The question catches him a little off-guard. He does answer truthfully though, with no sign of any animosity toward seeing Vexen, even as a female version, or even that she's obviously an Organization member.]

I was... supposed to sleep, I think. For a long time? She- I think it was a girl- was going to fix... something. Was it you? Am I supposed to get up now?

Unlikely, though you probably should regardless seeing as the device is useless in it's current state.

You mean it's broken? What am I supposed to do now? It wasn't supposed to break!

It also wasn't supposed to be dropped from a vast height and beaten around by water.

I would go about finding and establishing a base of operations then collecting data until an adequate solution or next step is decided on.

In your case, I suggest starting on just finding a base of operations. Small steps... you know.

Water? A base?

[He's only now registering the blue sky behind Vexen, and the sound of the beach. Climbing to his feet and pulling himself out of the pod is a bit of a chore, but it's worth it he thinks, when he sees that he isn't where he sort-of remembers being.]

She's most definitely not going to help him with that getting out of there thing.]

It's an interdimensional nexus sharing passing similarities with black holes and religious notions of purgatory- colloquially known as 'The Dressing Room.'

[ The shape and color catch her eye and Aerith stands at the beach, wading out into the shallow part of the water to meet it.

... It doesn't help that she has no idea what she's doing here yet, but it doesn't seem right to ignore something that large falling out of the sky. ]

[One should hope something as big as the pod is wouldn't escape all notice from the residents. There's a spray of water high in the air showing just how close he was to claiming Monstro's attention as well, but luckily he's in waters too shallow for the whale to follow now.]

[ that second spray captures Aerith's attention, eliciting a small cry of alarm when she realizes what it came from. Logically she knows they're probably out of danger this far away and in shallow water. Logic does not keep her from pushing the pod toward the beach as fast as she can, though she stumbles against it once or twice from shaky footing and the waves.

But soon enough they are on the beach and not in the belly of a whale, so Aerith feels victorious enough to allow herself a sigh as she rests against the "closed flower". ]

[There's no sound from inside, but outside and very close to her head where she's resting is a small panel protected by a door that needs to be pressed to spring open. It's fairly simple, even if it blends with the rest of the device.

Sora in a box, Aerith! Is he alive or dead?]

[ Schrodinger's Sora! Aerith didn't push that pod for nothing, so after a brief rest she turns her head back to the "closed flower" and -- oh, hello, what're you? She gets up on her feet, considering the panel thoughtfully. ]

Let's see ... like this? [ She presses the panel with her hand. And hey! ] It worked!

[ She's going to examine that panel to see what exactly she's messing with here. Technology isn't always safe, after all. ]
