[ We all know how that Riku has taken to the change, but what about some others?

There are other people, like, say, a

healerclass who has taken to the second story window a nice little home to peer around with a pair of large hot pink binoculars. She's watching this

knighttildawn patrol the bridge in armor. On the other side of the neighborhood, an

dawningcoast has dropped her bags of groceries she was taking home to haul ass after her son. Baby Aden has decided that clothes are unnecessary. As for the older

hallowedshore? He's not actually sure he likes this change. He's sticking to the apartments for now, sitting on the roof with his legs hanging dangerously over the edge.

Down below, a

hidesandseeks is going around trying to figure out where all of her friends and family now live, and

royaltentacles is slinking through alleyways only once night has fallen. No one probably cares where

thundery is, and that's just fine with him. He's laid claim to a pretty little castle. ]

[that makes Kira giggle, her own Light rising in response to her happiness]

[He's pretty much shrieking with laughter now, trying to grab onto the monster, but his eyes are squeezed shut.]

[oops she'll tone down the Light, and bop Aden on the nose; it's eatin' ur faaaaaace]

[Not if he eats it first. Nom nom delicious toys.]

You got it, Aden! Good job!

[He coos and reaches up for her with one hand, grabbing at the air, and that might've been another muffled 'Kira' against the monster.]

[Kira smiles and holds Aden's hand lightly]

You're going to grow up to be the best, you know.

[He's going to grab on to her hand in a tight grip, cooing and babbling words of affectionate nonsense.]

[she's so happy at your babble, which helps her not think about things she shouldn't be thinking about]

That's right! Kira loves you, too!

[Excellent job, master babysitter! You have gotten him to say 'love'! Over, and over, and over. "Love! Love! Love! Love! Love!"]

[she is thrilled... and using the nifty video camera on her phone to capture this moment]

That's right! Lots of love! Love-love!

[He's still saying it, bouncing in place as he holds on to the walls of the playpen for balance, up until he starts screeching with laughter.]

[for that, Kira will pick Aden up again and swoop him through the air, laughing as well]

Should we tell your mommy that you learned a new word?

[He squeals loudly and giggles when she does that, trying to latch onto her immediately. Obviously!]

[snuggles tiem as she carries Aden back out into the living room]

Auntie Piku-pie! Look!

[Riku peers out of the kitchen, eyebrows raised.]

What is it, Kira?

Look! Look! Aden, tell mommy your new word~! You can do it!

[she's jiggling Aden a bit, hoping to get him to talk again]

[You know how babies are, Kira. When Riku turns her attention to him, he starts slobbering on his little fist, blinking up at Kira.]

[darn, she's going to jiggle Aden a little more to try to convince him]

Awww... come on, Aden~ you did it before! Say it for Kira~

[He tilts his head back, staaaaring at her, and offers up a "Kira?"]

That's right. I'm Kira! And Kira loves you~! Do you love Kira?

[if this doesn't work, Auntie Piku will just have to be happy with the video]

[He squeals and throws his hands up with a "Love Kira!"

If Riku had been holding anything, she probably would have dropped it.]

[Kira laughs happily]

Kira loves Aden! Loves lots!

[Now he's repeating it again, and Riku has never felt like squealing more herself. She's not, of course, but she certainly feels like it. Or melting into a puddle of d'aaaaawwwmybaby.]

[Kira does an impromptu dance with Aden, whirling around with him and towards her Auntie Piku]

That's right! Lots of love! Kira loves Auntie Piku-pie~! Does Aden love his mommy?
