[it's very late. only the shadows seem to move, creeping as the night wears on across the floor, along the walls. most of the people of the dressing room are probably tucked away in bed by now, and that's precisely why one pale girl is currently tiptoeing into the dark library. she doesn't turn on a single light, instead winding her way around a series of bookcases to reach the back of the room. since she arrived, naminé has been virtually invisible. she's quite a timid thing to begin with, and with a slew of organization members roaming around, she's tried to go unnoticed. she does not want to go home...but she does want to meet sora, and she does want to see the replica again. every day, she's told herself, "today could be the day i go back," but it never happens. she's beginning to think that maybe it won't. the trouble is that before coming to the dressing room, she'd never been on her own. she was never meant to exist, and her existence is merely that of a shadow...so here she is, creeping across the floor with the others—the shadows.


someone's left a pile of books lying on the floor in front of one of the shelves, and naminé curiously sits down beside it, placing her sketchbook down on her lap so she can reach over to pick up the book at the top of the stack. She pulls the book towards herself, squinting in the dark to try to read the text on the cover.]

[Hopefully she won't mind some interruption. Ven here's on the hunt for... something interesting to read. With a library so huge, there must be some book that catches his eye.

[way to scare her half to death, ven. it takes a minute for her heart to come down from her throat, but when it does, she calls out to him.]

Guess I'm a little restless. I didn't wanna wake Kairi up, so I figured I'd go look around until I'm tired again.

[ nnngh, one teenage boy who normally would be fast asleep has been plagued by nightmares tonight, and since he remembers exactly where the library is (and the kitchen, but everything else can't be found at night by him), he's going to be heading that way rather sleepily, probably knocking into the wall next to the door before actually going into the library, which should alert Namine' that someone is there ~ oh, and here's a shocker if he gets in to the light-- bright, bright pink hair under a camouflage beanie that was poorly put on, so a lot of it is visible. ]

[she's quite a ways from the door, being at the back of the library, but in the midst of all this quiet, that thunk can't be missed. her pupils dilate, trying to allow in what small light there is at this time of night. she quietly leans back against the bookshelf, trying to hide herself behind the stack of literary works just in case. she reaches up to put the book she pulled from the pile back, but accidentally nudges another one off the pile in the process. and that's why the thunk gets a THUMP back. naminé tenses, hoping whoever made the thunking sound just so happened to be deaf.]

[ There's a very harmless, uncertain sounding call into the library, obviously thrown off by the thump. ]

[naminé opens her mouth to answer but suddenly cannot find the words. he doesn't sound very threatening, but then... she's met an awful lot of people who didn't have to sound threatening to be threatening... she reaches around the pile of books to retrieve the one that fell. as she brings it back toward herself, holding it in hand, it hits the corner of the pile, leading it to topple over onto naminé. there's the noise of the crash, of course, and then, if hayner's particularly attentive, he might hear a girl's tiny gasp.]

[ That made him trip over his feet and.. almost crash into a table, but luckily he just bumps it and regains his balance. ]

[ Now it's a very concerned voice, and he steps forward more a bit hastily. ]

[Roxas had been on his way to get a late night snack, but noticed Namine being sneaky. So of course, he decided to follow her into the library instead.]

[she quickly replaces the book on the stack, as if she'd just been caught trying to steal it by the librarian. but it's just roxas, she realizes, and she smiles uncertainly.]

naminé freezes where she is, the color draining from her cheeks. although she's not physically trembling, it seems that her voice is, for all its shakiness.]

[she's not so sure. at least it seems so, because she doesn't answer him. instead, she remains quiet, like she's hoping he'll forget she's here. after a minute or so, she speaks softly.]

[nevermind, she's not going to talk after all, breaking off and embracing the silence.]

[he's been a little down lately, and so he hasn't been sleeping well. comic books it is, and to the library he goes. he'll try not to crash into anything!]

[now what's got sora down? that's not the sora that naminé knows! but as he enters the library, the girl hiding at the back gets a funny sensation, and she knows he's there. there's something about the hearts of soras that does this to her, but she's not sure what.]

[he jumps four feet into the air, having not known anyone else was there. hey, he's awake now!]

[naminé lets out a tiny squeak, but as if that wasn't enough to reveal her location, she jumps at the sound of sora's yell and knocks over the pile of books, making a real racket back here. she's got her arms over her head, as if that's supposed to protect her from something.]

[he does flip a table lamp or two on so he leaves with all his toes, and smiles softly. he's wearing navy blue pyjama pants that are extra long and look maybe like they don't belong to him, and a faded yellow t-shirt]
