[There's a new teenager in the DR. A very, very confused teenager. His face is likely familiar, but the clothes don't seem right--especially the metal headband around his neck or the standard-issue Konoha sandals on his feet.

His main problem is that he walked through a door that he thought led into his apartment. Instead, he stepped into one of the dressing room's hallways and the door disappeared right before his eyes.

He's currently examining the wall where the door was, hoping he wasn't stupid enough to wander into a genjutsu trap.]

[OoC: AU Naruto/KH crossover Riku. Is 16, has been living in Konoha for about 3 years. Important info in userinfo.]

Good luck getting that one to open again. Unless you want to try some dynamite, I could take out that wall in ten seconds, eleven, tops.

[this dude doesn't look much like any sort of ninja, especially right now, in his worn sleep pants slung low on his hips, his bare feet, and his lack of a shirt. but if Riku's anything more than a genin, he should be able to tell without even looking that Axel is someone with a massive amount of chakra. like, kage or similarly powerful ninja level, or, gasp, a jinchuuriki.

he's slowing on his way down this hall, anyway, and eyeing Riku curiously.]

[Wait a second...Riku?

He, seems different...But. The headband.]

[You should see his roommate. He doesn't look like a proper ninja most of the time, not with the traffic-cone orange outfit. Also, Riku is still a genin, due to getting started with the whole ninja business a lot later than most kids.

Axel does not go unnoticed--not by chakra, just Riku catching movement out of the corner of his eye--and the examination of the wall is abandoned temporarily.]

Uh, hi...who are you?

[Sudden blonde ninja that's not Ino or one of his squad members? Staring for a few seconds while he tries to figure out who you are.]

...Do I know you?

Axel. You uh... you're from Konoha?

[nods at the metal headband, and bites his tongue to keep from saying half the other stuff that's coming to mind. wouldn't do to confuse the poor kid right off the bat.]

Yeah. [He looks Axel over to see if he has anything that would immediately identify what village he's from. Nope.] Are you? I've never seen you in the village before.

[hm. so Riku's either not from the same world as him, or he's just ignorant. interesting.]

Ha. I dunno, I might make it in the Konoha you're from, depends on how you guys feel about Suna.

[They could be from the same world, since Riku's not met everyone in it.]

There were some kids from there in the exam a while back, but I don't think we're not at war with them or anything.

[He gets most of his information secondhand, but he's pretty sure he's right.]

[hence the ignorance, since he knows genin kids aren't usually informed about a who's who of the Bingo Book, um.]

Ah, that's good. So are you a chuunin or what?

Not yet. I'm not worried about it. [He's leaving out the part about everyone telling him he's not ready to take the exam.]

So, what is this place? It's definitely not my apartment. [He's still holding on to the theory that it might be genjutsu.]

[well, whatever, he can respect that. Rikus generally know what they're doing, even if 16 does seem a bit old to still be a genin.]

Yeah, it's not, and I can assure you it's not a genjutsu, either. But the short version is that you're not on your world anymore, and this place can be a little overwhelming at first, because it pulls people in from all over, so there are lots of doubles and alternate versions of people.

[Riku is relieved! Slightly. Because he's now torn between 'yay new world' and 'but what about Konoha?' Conflict!]

Okay. So I'm not in Konoha anymore. Is there any way back or am I stuck here? Tsunade is gonna kill me if I miss too much training.

Nope, you're stuck until this place decides to send you back. But the good news is that people who've gone home and come back have mostly reported that time doesn't pass at home while they're here. The other good news is that this place isn't all that bad if you know what to watch out for.

[in his opinion, for all the shit it pulls, this place is a lot better than being back on his world.]

Well, I don't like to stereotype, because there are plenty of people who don't fit the profile, but pretty much anyone older than you who has blond hair. At best, a lot of them are just kind of bitchy and not people you want to hang around, and at worst they're sadistic lunatics. Also anyone with pink hair. There aren't as many of them around, and as far as I know they're all male, so there aren't really any exceptions there. Umm....

[was counting off points on his fingers, but pauses to think.]

...I'll just go ahead and add most people with blue hair to the list, unless they're really obviously just nice girls, and especially if you see a guy who looks more like a ninja, with sort of greyish-blue hair that hides the right side of his face, run like hell. He's not someone you want to even get near. Oh, also people with hair kind of like yours who aren't Rikus or replicas. That one's a little easier to distinguish.

[nodnod. if you're not processing this, Riku, he will have to get more graphic, ie "anyone who looks like they're plotting to either hurt you for laughs or possibly rape you with plants".]

Why try to bring one back when you can make your own?

[Is kinda getting it! But it seems to encompass a lot of people. Apparently only brunets are safe.]

I guess I should just be careful around everyone, then? Your list includes a lot of people.

Yeah, pretty much. Just keep your eyes open, basically. Not everyone in the categories I listed is bad, and not everyone outside the categories is safe.

Maybe, sure. You could decide not to try, but then you would never know if it would have worked.

Does that mean I shouldn't really trust you either? I mean, you haven't made me doubt anything you've said yet, but who knows?
