[training room? check.

a concentrating Sora? check.

darkness starting to swell up over her held out hand? check.

wait, what?

that's right. in this training room, there is a Sora concentrating very hard as she stares at her hand, chewing on her lip to the point of bruising. there's the faintest flicker of darkness around her hand and her excitement gets the better of her. as soon as she loses concentration, even for that split second, the darkness explodes outward like a small bomb before disappearing completely. Sora's thrown to the floor, though her grimace as she gets up is more over her stupidity than any actual physical pain. do come in and berate her for messing with such dangerous forces! or encourage her to fall to darkness, whatever.]

Like... practically anything. You can use nail polish like paint almost. You can paint a design. Or paint your nails one color, then stencil something over them in another. You can even use bling!

[Kira will be Sora's fashion guru!]

Bling! Shiny things. Like diamonds or gold. Really flashy and meant to be noticed.

Oh. I don't think I want anything like that.

I didn't think so. You train a lot, so it's better if you had a simpler manicure that's easy to care for.

Yeah, I'd feel bad if I went and messed what you did up really quickly...

I know how to do them so they last awhile. Now it's time for color. Did you decide which you like best?

[she will take up the bottle of blue and paint Sora's nails quick like ninja, then set her hand aside to dry off and work on the other]

Now don't touch your fingernails for a minute. They'll be ready for the last step when I'm done with this hand.

[she'll be very good about not moving her hands, just watching Kira work instead.]

[soon enough, Kira has Sora's nails painted a nice blue shade, then applies top coat]

[she looks surprised, and a bit curious.]

Who is it?

Axel. An Axel, I mean. I met him at Halloween, and he was really nice. But everyone says I shouldn't trust him.

Why shouldn't you?

[if someone's nice, you should give 'em a chance, shouldn't you?]

Because he's an Axel from Organization XIII. And he said that he wanted to date me because he wanted to try and be normal. So I'm not sure if he means that he likes me, or that he'd just date any girl. I've been asking everyone for advice, since I've never dates anyone before.

Well... some of the Organization are pretty mean, but I don't think I've really heard of Axels being the dangerous ones, so I think it's safe. And if he'd date any girl, wouldn't he choose someone who had a... less scary dad?

[okay so daddyRi hasn't been scary around her but she's HEARD STORIES.]

Axel hasn't met Daddy yet, though I warned him. He did ask Papa for permission though, and Papa said it was okay if I had a chaperone.

I don't think dates are supposed to have chaperones...

It's that or no date at all.

Well... maybe after the first one, if Axel behaves and you want to go on another, you can talk your Papa into letting you guys go on your own?
