O Tannenbaum

[Not really a tune you associate with ice picks, jigs, dremels and hand saws, right? Relax, Christmas is one of Rikka's favorite times of year. In fact, he's very pleased to have found in one of the more popular "forests" a twenty-one foot vertical slab of ice to practice carving into a tree. He's dressed plenty warm in a (you-guessed-it) black sweater and hot pink pants, though his cheeks, nose and ears are bright pink from the twinkling frost nipping at his skin, and even has the company of some very random Christmas tunes and of course, an assortment of adorable forest animals. The sparkling shards of ice and slush are melting into his silver hair and crunching under his sneakers, but he doesn't seem to notice. The tree he's carving is... lacking for sure, but it's starting to have branches here and there. He's trying, okay ;; It's a performance piece. He might even have some hot coffee or chocolate nearby.]

[Break would be good because she wants to give you hugs! While she waits for that however she will have some hot cocoa and well she's already bundled up warm so she's not worried about needing the blanket.]

*he will put all of his tools away properly then, and come wrap the blanket around himself for extra warmth then*

So how've you been since I last saw you?

*omg girl hugs -- he hugs back!*

I dunno. Just... around. You?

Been taking care of my brother mostly.

And training since I haven't been doing a lot of that lately.

Mmm. How's Elias doing.

He's doing fine. He's got a new friend he's been hanging out with a lot.

[Avani reaches up and combs her gloved fingers through your hair, she can't get enough of doing that holy crap.]

*he does have beautiful, soft hair no? he really enjoys that ;;*

Who is it?

His name's Sam, he got here about three weeks ago.

Is he a kid?

He's older than me actually.

[She laughs a little, still playing with your hair.]

Elias considers him the fun big brother he always wanted.

*he smiles at that, thinking of his own family*

Kind of like my "big brother".

*he misses his Sorabug so dearly*

[Avani smiles softly when she notices Rikka smiling.]

Yeah...

[And without even thinking, she presses a kiss to the top of his head.]

*he sort of freezes up when you do that, his face turning pink down to his neck ;; why is he so damn short*

[...and now she realizes what she did.]

...I...i'm sorry I didn't...I do that with Elias a lot and it was just habit you know? I won't do that again...unless you say it's okay of course....should I shut up?

[Yes Avani you should.]

*his cheeks are superduper red when you acknowledge it*

... yeah. You should. It's fine. I know I'm short and... kid-like.

[Avani just looks down and folds her hands in her lap. Now she's worried you won't want to talk to her anymore.]

*he ruffles your hair*

Hey, stop. You look like me. Really, it's okay. Just surprised me.

[She looks up and smiles, giving a sigh of relief.]

Okay.

*he likes you happy rather than emo -- don't move in on his emotard territory*

Guess I should though, with Kira and all. She's so touchy-feely.

[The emotard thing is what she ~~loves~~ likes best about you, so she can try and cheer you up /shot]

Some people are like that.

[Pause, then...]

How's your mom?

*devious, devious girl*

He's tired. Seems happy though.

*he really just wishes he'd start cooking again :C*
