No, no! That is unacceptable! You cannot put green bows on your mistletoe! It does nothing to capture the eye!

[Around the corner there is a small angel arguing with an even smaller

makeltblue hovering in the air and leaving glittering trails of blue as she goes. The angel appears to be a talking decoration, perhaps made of wood, with a very thick French accent shaping her high-pitched voice. The fairy, plump and very real, looks very close to losing her temper.]

Well, what color would you want?

[The angel pauses to think, tapping her chin with her hand.]

Gold. Nonono! That is too bright!

[The argument continues, but sprigs of mistletoe tied with golden ribbon are already growing all around the doorways, just like the years past. If you're not used to it by now, you will be -- the very magical plants will stay all month, and they don't like going against tradition. They won't let you pass until you've kissed.]

Alright. How big am I cutting things?

[He's going to go wash his hands!]

Bite-sized. However big you want, it's your food.

[She'll fetch some cutting boards and knives.]

Right.

[He's going to spend a moment thinking about it, then will just wait until Riku's grabbed those things.]

[Here you go, two wooden cutting boards and two very sharp knives. Then she'll slide the vegetables and meat over his way, one at a time.]

[Time to get choppy. Good thing he knows how to do that nicely, hm?]

[Quite a good thing! And very much a time saver for Riku's part. She'll get started on making dough. Hooray for teamwork.]

[Teamwork indeed. He's pretty quiet while he's cutting things, falling into a rhythm.]

[Dough-making is messier than chopping vegetables. :c Only slightly messier than cutting meat, though. But Riku has bad luck with baked goods, and after an unfortunate accident involving trying not to sneeze and butterfingers, there's going to be a cloud of flour floating in the air.]

[Which probably makes his hair look a bit odd once some settles on him, huh.]

[She has the back of her wrist pressed up to her nose to try and block the sneeze, and shoots him a foul look, which quickly twists into something comical as the sneeze tries to come back.]

Just turn around and sneeze.

[He looks so amused. And spotty.]

[She does, but not before shooting him another nasty look. Even with turning around, how gross.]

[Bah, he obviously doesn't care. He's just looking amused, and maybe a little smug because he's not sneezing.]

[Yeah well he probably breathes in poisous fumes on a daily basis. Riku clears her throat, then turns back to what she was doing, looking slightly more annoyed.]

[He does not, thank you very much. He's wisely keeping his mouth shut, though he's having a hard time making that smirk go away.]

[And how long will it last when he gets a small handful of flour thrown at his face?]

[That will make him turn away from the food to have a small coughing fit!]

Don't you dare, I only have meat and vegetables as ammo.

You throw them at me and they won't end up in your food.

[Smugku is smug with her mountain of flour.]

[FROWNING. And lunging to grab some flour and throw it in her face--]

[She'll yelp. Mostly because she wasn't expecting him to actually do that.]

[And then he goes back to innocently chopping food. How dare he.]

[Cough cough cough. If he's going to be making explosions of white over her face, you'd think they'd have more fun first.]

[Are you not having fun, Riku~? He is. Too bad. :3]

[You hit her in the eye, you bastard.]

[He's got bad aim, sorry.]
