[There is a very pissed off, slightly older, female you approaching at high speed, Riku. Act fast.]

Sorry, elevator's full.

[he can move faster when he wants to, yes. as soon as he gets Roxas' foot over the threshold that portal will be closing.]

[and he's winging in around that corner at breakneck speed; it's a miracle in itself that he hasn't broken a wing on one of the walls, or ripped right through it. she'll feel quite the breeze as he rushes past her, and he doesn't even seem entirely substantial until he flies through the place where that portal used to be. brb attempting to turn on his heel, wings seeming to go through the walls before becoming solid once more.]

Riku!

[She skids to a halt when he goes past her, wide-eyed and wondering what-- oh. She has never been happier to see him, and starts moving again to head for him.]

Where did he take him?

[she's probably never seen him so worried, either.]

They're in the Darkness, I can't- There! They've gone down! They're in Hallow Bastion!

[She stares at him for several seconds before turning on her heel with the intent of bolting straight there, and then freezing. She has no clue what's going on there, or what state that Riku's really in, who all he's captured-- Would it be stupid to go on her own?]

You have to find them, Riku!

[his form is flickering again, and when it comes back it's almost transparent. he really is ineffectual now, having already gone past his boundaries in telling her as much as he has.]

I'm going. I know where it is.

[And she is, starting to walk again. By the time she reaches the end of the hall she'll be running again.]

[he'll be gone if she thinks to look back. unfortunately, this isn't the first time his warnings haven't reached who he was trying to help.]

[She doesn't look back. Either he's following her or he's not, she doesn't care. It'd be nice to have help, but she'll ask if she runs into some along the way. Right now, she needs to get to Hollow Bastion.]

[when she gets there, a certain laugh echoing off the walls just may sound familiar. albeit likely with a more feminine tone than this Riku is accustomed to hearing.]

Excellent, Riku. With as many pure hearts as you've brought me, surely we cannot fail!

[Boy, when she gets there... it's tempting to see if she can still summon her Guardian, because that is not someone she wants to see at all. She can tell who it is, even with the female voice, and it sets her on edge immediately. She does not want to go in there. But she will. For now, she stays out of sight and hopefully where they won't sense her. Any plans she formed on the way here are crushed now, after all. She has to come up with something, or go back for help.]

This one isn't a Princess either, but I couldn't sense any Darkness in his Heart. He was pathetically easy to catch, compared to some of the others.

[if he sounds smug, that's because he is. neither he nor Maleficent have realized she's there yet, and he's busy shutting Roxas into one of the chambers around the room. there's twenty in all, and if Riku can catch a glimpse, she'll see that most are filled with different Kairis, as well as a couple Soras and even a Cinderella. they're all asleep.. or seem to be.]

[She is very, very careful to take a peek around the corner to see what she's dealing with. Maleficent... she's pretty sure she could deal with her on her own, given what she knows. She could definitely take down the Riku, but it would be harder with Ansem's influence. The two of them together, on the other hand... even with Maleficent's record of throwing her minions out first, if they fought her together she probably wouldn't make it. And there are a lot more people than her at stake.

So she'll be sneaking back out. She knows she's pressed for time, so she's going to have to hurry and look for anyone she knows.]

[Hi, I'm conveniently walking down the hallway.]

[oh, she'll definitely need whatever help she can get. especially as Maleficent and Ansem are in the process of giving Riku the Keyblade of People's Hearts.]

[fml you all suck, why does she have to go through this again hnnn. The minute she spots Roxas, she's going to make a beeline for him.]

Roxas!

[He looks over, confusion taking over his expression.]

Hey, what's wrong?

[She's been running this entire time, and stops with her hands on her knees, breathing hard. Enjoy this one, Roxas, because it's rare that she says it.]

I need your help.

Of course, what is it?

[Holy shit, this must be bad.]

Maleficent. Some... Riku, he already smells like Ansem-- They've captured a dozen people. They're probably going to try opening Kingdom Hearts.

[She straightens up, shoulders straight.]

I can't save them by myself.

Alright, let's go.

[He glances around to see if anyone nearby can be enlisted, but sadly no one is around.]

[She nods. With his fire and her keyblade (and knowledge of their enemies), they should be enough. It evens out the numbers, anyway, so Riku turns on her heel and runs, leading Roxas back to Hollow Bastion.]

[He follows along beside her, sparks flying from his palms as he gets ready.]

[he has a double voice by the time they return, with Ansem's louder than Riku's. he's walking steadily toward the far side of the room, where two young boys are sleeping in chambers side by side.]

I'll start with the Soras, unlocking their Hearts will free the Princess ones trapped within them.

[Riku will be keeping an arm out in warning to keep Roxas back whenever they do go into the castle, and an eye on him the entire time. Hollow Bastion is a dangerous place when they're not running across possessed Rikus or Maleficents. But she does not intend to let any of the sleeping people get hurt in this, and is readying herself for attack when she hears them speaking.]

[He'll hang back for now and wait for her orders, just listening silently to what's going on inside. Roxas wouldn't go running off in a place he doesn't know with people he doesn't really know how to fight in it. Riku knows what she's doing, he'll just trust that.]

Ah, yes. It is fortunate that there is no Princess here that would be able to revive them from their Heartless state. The Keybearer has proven himself to be most obstinate in refusing to accept fate.

[if they can see what's going on, they'll be just in time to watch as Riku plunges the Keyblade into Sora's chest, releasing both Hearts with a smirk. they might even see a familiar face or two- like wasn't that little redheaded boy asleep in a chamber one thought to have gone home, he'd disappeared for so long?]

[it may very well be~. Kai looks so peaceful in his little chamber, doesn't he?]

[Upcoming guilt in three... two... one- Riku barely even registers the Sora being unlocked, so to speak. She's too busy staring at Kai, because she did think he was gone. It's a shock to see him here, and she almost doesn't believe it. Why didn't she look for him?]

... fire doesn't work well on Maleficent.

[She's speaking to Roxas, very quietly, but her mind is hardly on what she's saying.]

I know. I'll focus on getting everyone out. Any idea how those chambers open?

[He's listening hard, considering she's holding him back and he can't see anything.]

This is two less to concern ourselves with.

[the first Sora has already disappeared, leaving the chamber he was in empty; somewhere, there is yet another Heartless to add to the millions. the other is soon to follow, as Riku stabs the Keyblade into the second Sora, unlocking the Hearts there as well.]

The ones that aren't a Princess- or Prince, as the case may be, should be next, don't you think?

[They're out of time. Riku's going to feel incredibly guilty as it is over the two Soras they just lost, she doesn't want to add any more to that number. She shakes her head, starting to move closer, keeping herself low.]

I don't remember. But we need to take at least one of those two out first. Come on.

[He nods and keeps close behind her.|]

Their un-tainted Hearts will make a good sacrifice to our cause. Already the Keyhole is nearly complete, despite our having to satisfy ourselves with multiples of the same Princess.

[better move fast, Riku. Ansemku here is headed straight toward the next chambers, occupied by the Roxas you saw before, as well as yet another Sora, and even a Riku.]
