[As usual, this year's party is held at the ball room. Dance music is already playing, mixed in together with creepy sounds and howls. The decorations are creepy at its best, and there are skeletal waiters walking around this time.

The tables are laden with food for various monsters, ghost, blood for the vampires, candy for the children, and normal food for those who are somewhat normal. Though if you're not in costume, that ugly fish sculpture at the giant punch bowl will spew a liquid at you rudely from it's mouth that will immediately put you into a random costume. If you keep hitting it, it will keep doing it, changing your costume into something worse every time.

Gatecrashers with bad intentions will be grabbed, wrapped and tossed out of the room by that giant spider up there on the ceiling, and it will also grab you if you're being selfish to the kiddies about giving them candy.

For those who lack dancing partners, some of those manakins are not there for show. Those will come to life and ~~harass~~ dance with you if you look a little lonely.

[oh dear. well, that's a reason to move a bit quicker, and she makes her way over to Riku to keep her from crashing into anyone, trying to keep herself from smacking anyone with her wings while she's at it.]

[as soon as she's close enough, she'll take Riku's arm. try to ignore the fact that she's only holding on with her thumb and two abnormally long fingers, okay-]

[Riku is many things, but she likes to think she's not stupid. So she's going to stay still until Sora finds her, and then... promptly freeze.]

It is! Don't worry, I just, um. my hands and arms are kind of bat wings right now, so I only have two fingers. And the other two are part of the wings, I guess. What are you supposed to be?

[eyin' that costume. she can't make sense of it.]

... I have no idea. You have bat wings?

[She tilts her head up, trying to see... when she can't.]

[...hm. well, she'll take Riku's hand and "show" her that way, bringing it over her other hand, then down along the wing some.]

Are they real?

Yeah, they are. And the wing part goes all the way down my back, it's pretty neat... 'cept it means I can't put clothes on. I woke up with this weird bodysuit thing on today, though, so at least I get to come to the party.

[It's a good thing she clarified, because Riku's jaw dropped in the middle of what she was saying. Yes, she honestly thought Sora was naked for a moment. She's glad her face is half hidden.]

I guess the punch bowl didn't get you.

[...Riku, do you really think Sora of all people would come to a party naked?]

Punch bowl?

[Not willingly, no! But hell, she knows this place well enough by now... Riku sighs. Heavily.]

I think I'd been in here two minutes when that thing drenched me and this thing showed up.

[She gestures to her costume, hopefully without bumping Sora in the process.]

...maybe if you leave and find a better costume, it'll let you change?

[don't worry, she's good at dodging.]

I'd be happy if I could just see.

[I mean. Well, she has experience with the whole blindfold thing, and she can navigate alright, but there are so many people that it makes the sensory thing a little difficult.]

Well, c'mon, we should at least give it a try!

[you're going to be tugged toward the door, Riku.]

[Sure thing. Those boots are going to trip her up and make her stumble, but she should be able to at least stay on her feet!]

[thankfully, she knows there happens to be a closet with costume stuff nearby! she happened to pass it on her way here, and figures it only appeared for Halloween in the first place.]

[You're her new best friend, Sora. ~~Oh wait-~~ She'll get the hang of walking in the boots by the time they're out the door, at least. She's not sure if she likes them or not, with how they make her even taller.]

[nicely done. and yeah, she feels like a total shorty next to you, Riku. gdit.]

Okay, let's see if I can find something that actually lets you see! Maybe you'll be able to change.

[You mean she didn't before? Riku just nods and possibly hits the crown part of her costume against a doorframe or something.]

[well, she did before, but now it's worse. you just stay there, Riku, she'll find you an awesome costume!]

[That's cool, she'll just... wait over here.]

I found something!

[which she'll be shoving into Riku's hands, moving her so she can be more inside to change.]

[She will hold it tight so she doesn't drop it, and allow Sora to move her around before lowering her head a little.]
