Dammit where is he?

[Emmy's searching the DR for the little five-year-old boy doppelganger she..sort-of "adopted" upon his arrival; he'd disappeared after breakfast without saying anything and she hadn't seen him since.]

Demyx where did you go?

[In the meantime, Demyx will be wondering around near the pool, just toddling alongside the edge.

Does he know how to swim? It's...possible...but then again, he is only five. Oh ho ho, search on, Emmy. But don't take too long! He could drown!]

[Okay he's not in the music room, which really worries her so she's hurrying along the hall past the pool room and peering in---]

There you are!

[Who knew this parenting thing was so hard? XD]

[Nope. He doesn't hear you, sorry. He's getting closer to the edge...and thennnnn...

[WELL SHIT, he's plopped himself into the pool, and he's not breaking the surface either.]

[Emmy's eyes widen as she sees this and she shrugs off her cloak, revealing a black tank top and pants before diving in there after him.]

[Thank god you dove in, Emmy, because...--

[He is just fine. In fact, he's swimming around under the water with a HUGE smile in his face, eventually kicking his way toward the surface and breaking it with a loud, cheerful giggle.]

[Emmy surfaces eventually and hugs him.]

You scared me!

EEK!

[You startled him, Emmy! D:]

Hey, stop huggin' meee! You're gross!

[Whimper as he tries to struggle away.]

I'm sorry but I was worried...

[She lets him go and pouts a bit; that kinda hurt a little but she knows how kids that sge are about cooties and stuff]

Icky, icky, icky. Blaaaaah.

[Blowing a raspberry and wiping off his face.]

I'm fiiiiiiiiine!

I know...but you didn't tell me where you were going.

[she looks him right in the eyes.]

Can you promise me to tell me where you're going at least from now on?

Why? I'm a big boy.

Because I'm taking care of you and I worry when I don't know where you are.

[She treads water a bit as she tries to think of an answer.]

I...I know I'm not your mommy but...as long as we're here...I'd like to be...

[She reaches up to brush some wet hair out of his face.]

[A frown...and then a ginormous sniffle. Maybe he'd never see his mommy again...oh this was too much...]

[As if you didn't already know that...but don't worry, he thinks of you the same way...]

[God this would be breaking her heart if she had one.]

I know...I do too...but we have to make the best of it while we're here...

[She sets him on the edge ofthe pool and climbs out to sit next to him.]

W-well...you can be my ommy....here...and my mommy can be my mommy back...h-h-home...

[She smiles and gives him a kiss on the forehead.]

That works.

[A tiny smile, though he still sniffles.]

[Emmy smiles and brushes his hair out of his face.]

You just have to be careful, there's some bad people here. That's why I want you to tell me where you're going.

Otay Emmy...I will...

[She nods with a smile.]

Now how about we go get dried off and get some hot chocolate?
