[In a seating room with a window, a ruckus is about to be made. At first, it's just sounds... coming from outside those inescapable windows. Shouting, mostly, the voices of several teenagers muffled by the walls. It's only angry yelling, until there's gunfire. Seconds later, one of the windows is jumped straight through, and someone in a hooded jacket is rolling across the floor, covering their face to avoid the glass as it falls to the floor.]

[The person takes off to the hallway as soon as they're on their feet, but when they get out the doorway, they freeze.]

[Reaching up, Terra removes his hood, looking around.]

Yeah. I don't know if your world has magic, but that's the only way I can describe it.

There's no way out. It's like this place has a mind of it's own. It... brings you in whenever it wants you, and it's up to it if you ever leave or not.

...different worlds? Uh. Universes, I guess. Alternate universes.

... So we're in a real-life Sci-Fi book, so to speak?

It... really depends. Sometimes people have no idea, and never find out until they wake up one day and their friend says they've been gone, even when they haven't been. Others...

[she frowns a little.]

Sometimes they just go missing.

[There's slight panic over his features for a moment, but he tries so hard to rein it back in.]

... He can't know I'm gone...

[that makes her frown even deeper.]

He probably won't have any idea. You could go back at the exact same time it was when you showed up.

Or I might not go back at all. He could be needing me right now.

He might come here too.

How often does that happen?

Often. My Riku's here, and so are a dozen other people I recognize from my world.

[they're mostly from different timelines, but she'll be quiet about that.]

Really? Riku... [closes his eyes. he knows that name.]

... Friends with Sora. Right..?

Yeah. Her best friend. I mean... His.

[whoops.]

[... puts a hand to his forehead, and gestures to Roxas.]

Yeah, I'm... getting the idea. [His head hurts.]

If it makes you feel any better, there's way more of you than there are of us. Most Soras, Rikus, Roxas... They're male.
