[There's a rather petite girl wandering the halls, humming softly to herself while carrying a basket of fruit. She doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry, as she's poking her head into different rooms along the way.]

Curiouser and curiouser... My, what an interesting world I've stumbled onto.

[ooc: Pre-canon, from the days prior to the Keyblade War! I don't have much info on her yet, but she's from the same timeline as

guiltybreak! Feel free to be one of the folks she's walked in on.]

[Keir is meanwhile traversing the same hall with a messy stack of papers, covered with elaborate glyphs of various designs. He walks right by her as he shuffles between pages of parchment, but then he pauses and looks back to see that, indeed, he knows that girl]

Miss Evelyn?

[She turns around at his voice, smile at the ready] Mister Keir.

[When she notices the stack of paper in his hands, she goes over, peering at the pages] Don't tell me you're practicing to be a newspaper boy, are you?

Ah...not as such, no.

[He'll even shake his head, not that he needs to]

I was practicing drawing a few glyphs.

Oh? And how did it go?

There are a few I can't quite recall how to complete properly.

I see. Is there any way I can help?

Are you familiar with such things?

Mm, I can't say my knowledge of them is abundant, but I am somewhat familiar with them.

In that case...

[Shuffles through papers again before offering one to her]

Do you recognize this one?

... Ah, that's the one you often use, yes? To keep them at bay.

[He nods once]

Yes, I learned this one first.

But this is not the one you are currently having trouble with, yes?

I'm having difficulty replicating the central portion.

[Rather, he can't see it on the back of his neck :|]

I see. Perhaps I can help with that, then. [Places her basket on the floor]

If you don't mind, I could draw it out for you. I imagine it must be hard when one cannot see his own neck.

If you do not mind, I would appreciate it. In time I'm sure I will manage, however...

[He sighs quietly and rubs at the back of his neck again]

I am concerned that it is wearing off more quickly than usual in this place.

If I did, I would not have offered, Keir. [Gonna take a pen and a piece of parchment, going behind him and examining the glyph before drawing it.]

Are you? What made you come to that conclusion?

[For his part, Keir stays still so as not to give her more work]

I can...sense them. People inside of other people, in this place.

[Don't mind her using your back as a writing surface~.]

People inside of other people... hm. Like a bastard's idea of a fine Christmas present.

I...suppose. It is not something I understand.

[You'll find this guy sprawled on the sofa in his room, nose in a book. He peeks over the top, raising an eyebrow at your intrusion.]

It is quite rude to enter someone's room without knocking, you know.

[Oh, hello there.]

That's very true, how unsightly of me. I must ask for your forgiveness then, sir.

[A slight nod--basicly 'apology accepted'. And since your being polite and appologizing, he'll be polite in return.]

Is there something in particular you are searching for?

I am looking for someone, but I'm not in a hurry.

[She glances around the room] You are a resident of this world, I assume?

For the time being, yes. Are you new here, then?

Then that would suggest that you are not, on occasion?

- And yes, I am.

I actualy meant I do not intend to be for long if I can help it. This world is a bit different from most. Those who live here do not arrive of their own accord and have no say as to when or if they will return to their own world.

So we're all like sitting ducks waiting to be gobbled up...

Have you been returned yet?

Unfortunatly, no. I have been here a few months now. Though some I have spoken with have been here for years. It seems there is no way to know how long each person's stay will be. I would suggest you find yourself a place to stay in the meantime.

A place to stay... to claim another room just like this, then?

As long as it is not already occupied, yes. I don't believe there is anything free along this hallway, however. It seems to mainly house Sora and his unsualy large family. [And technicly he's only got a room in this hall because his roomate managed to befriend Sora to the point of being welcomed into his group and ended up dragging Zexion along.]

Sora?

I'm afraid I'm rather unfamiliar with the names of the citizens in this world.

You will certainly meet a great deal of them in your time here. Soras I mean. Another interesting thing about this world. It usualy contains more than one of each person. Drawn from different timelines or alternate universes. You could even meet another version of yourself. [A bit of a heads up there. It can be a bit dissorienting if your not expecting it.]

I will keep that in mind. Have you met another of yourself here as well?

Not yet. At least not face to face, though I have seen a few in passing.

Given the opportunity, would you converse with them?

Possibly. They would most likely be better conversation than my roomate, at the least. [And it probably wouldn't bother him in the least to sit and have a chat with his exact double. He adapts well.]

[Curled up on her couch and wrapped in a big fluffy blue blanket, Desi looks up from her portable DVD player where she is just finishing up watching Three Musketeers (yes the Disney version ~~mun loves that movie too much sometimes omg~~. Insomnia much?]

Hey, are you new here?

[So says the dinky little Sora who's currently munching on some candies.]

[Aw, how cute. ♥]

Why, yes I am. Are you as well?

[He shakes his head.]

No, I've been here for a long time now! I kinda lost count.

I see. So you know your way around here quite well, yes?

Pretty well! I'm sure there are places I don't know about, but this world is huge.

[ There was a woman in a black coat in the room she peeked in, and Evelyn was just in time to watch her hit a Prize Pot with her hand.

Chocolate bars popped out of it. ♥ She caught one. ]

[Oh, chocolate! Hope you don't mind her taking one~.]

[ No problem! There's a few, anyway. Xigbar grabbed hold of the Prize Pot so it didn't just scuttle away. ]

You look new.

That's because I am. [Hello Ms. Eyepatch, nice to meet you. She'll just dig into that chocolate bar, glancing curiously at the Prize Pot.]

[ She noticed that, and sent the Prize Pot her way so she can have a better glance at it.

Xigbar took a bite out of her chocolate bar. ] Cute, innit?

Very. [The Pot wriggles a little when she catches it, holding on so it won't run away.]
