[Riku's been fairly scarce around the place lately, for the last week or so. Given that someone very important up and vanished, he spent the first few days searching non-stop. By now though, he knows what it means when someone goes missing for around a week. And the fact it's been over a week has got him genuinely upset- which he presents by spending all day in the corner of his room with a bunch of blankets and his feline companion, Max.]

[I hope he wasn't sleeping, because there's suddenly someone very important up and bursting through that door now.]

[He was, actually. He wakes with a start though, sitting up and still facing the wall since he was sleeping in the corner and all. He's not sure if a nightmare is what woke him or what here.]

[But does she usually run over and wrap her arms around you?]

[He jumps when she does that, turning around as fast as he can to make sure it's really her and she's really there. Once that's confirmed, he's pretty much hugging her tight as possible and not letting go.]

[She winces and lets out a muffled pained sound, because it's apparent she has some wounds on her, but she ignores it and hugs him back, burying her face in his shoulder.]

[As soon as he hears that pained sound, his hold loosens considerably. He tries to get a look at any visible wounds, readying a Cura to help with that.]

[She rests her head against him and closes her eyes. They aren't too bad. Nothing fatal, at least. Mostly scratches, a graze wound or two along her arms, more bruises than anything else, really.]

[And he goes right to work healing any cuts and scrapes first. The bruises will take longer and need their own time to heal, so they come last. Once he's finished he carefully tightens his hold again, so that it won't hurt her.]

[She appreciates it. And hugs him close in return.]

[He wants so bad to just fuss over her and find out what happened and if she's okay now- but it can wait in favor of never letting go of her ever.]

[She nuzzles against him, sighing softly.]

[He sighs shakily as well, just holding her close and basking in the feeling of relief. They'll probably be here a long while.]

[Indeed. She'll move to lay down where he was, bringing him with her as she does.]

[There's a soft mewing as Max pops his head up from the blankets acting as a pillow above their heads. Guess who else has missed you terribly :<]

[B'aww, kitty. She reaches up to pet his head for a moment.]

[Max purrs softly at the attention, while Riku just settles into the blankets.]

[Namine keeps that hand up there, petting him idly, while she rests her head against Riku's and settles too. Screw the rules bed, we can sleep right here.]

[On the floor, in the corner, between your piano and the wall? Sounds comfy. He's sure she needs plenty of rest after whatever she's been through, so he'll lay here as long as needed.]

[She won't sleep long, just staying there lying in his arms is all she needs right now.]

[It's good for him too, after all the anxiety and nightmares. He'll drift off again to a light sleep for a while.]

[Oh good. And when he wakes up, she'll be there, looking up at him and just admiring.]

[He wakes up slowly, eyebrows knitting together in a confused look as he stares at her for a good ten seconds. Mostly he's trying to figure out if he just dreamed all of this.]

[And she leans forward to kiss his forehead to assure him it isn't a dream.]

[His eyes close and he relaxes at that, sighing in relief.]
