[Saïx has been one of the luckier ones in all this rain, it would seem - he's managed to find himself a proper boat. It's nothing more than a canoe, but it's something all the same. Sadly, it didn't seem to actually come with any paddles, so he's had to make do with the next best thing. His sword. It's working... about as well as you might expect, really, but it's better than nothing.

He's mostly looking for people he knows, but there's room in the canoe for at least one more person, and maybe two, if they're small.]

[Saix better watch it with that weapon, there's this kid treading water a bit further down the hallway and trying to climb onto a door. His shoes are missing and so is his vest, from an attempt to try and make himself lighter to tread longer.]

[He's not that unobservant. So as he gets closer, he'll slow down a bit.]

Care for a hand?

[Half hanging onto the floating door now, Lea looked back over his shoulder and grinned a bit sheepishly, hair hanging flat to his scalp and past his ears.]

Definitely.

[Spitting out some extra water, he let go of the door and swam closer to the canoe.]

[Comes to a stop as Lea draws closer.]

Don't tip it over.

I won't, I won't. [Kicking with his legs, he grabbed the side of the canoe and tried to haul himself up... wet hands and wet metal just made him slip back down and sputter when he outright dunked himself on accident. Also, smacking chin on the way down? He's lucky he didn't bite his tongue!]

[siiiiiigh does he have to do everything?]

[Surfacing and coughing a bit, Lea got a better grip this time and kicked harder to haul himself over the edge and fall in with a wet splat.]

[Saïx leans over the other way while he's doing that so as to keep the boat from tipping. It looks like Lea's had enough water as it is.]

Better.

[Wheezing a little from the bottom of the boat, he rolled onto his side and hacked out more water before offering a sheepish smile.]

Thanks.. I'd been treading for a few hours now and all the doors I keep grabbing get waterlogged and sink within five minutes.

You couldn't find anything else to use?

[That might be a bit of concern, yes.]

Nope.. weird, huh? I was like why couldn't a cushion wash up somewhere? [Sneezing hard and cutting himself off, Lea shivered a little and finally moved to pick himself up from the bottom of the boat. Carefully climbing to his feet, he moved and sat with a wet plop on the middle seat and shook his head to get some of the water out of his mop of hair.]

Sorry, scuse me.

It's fine.

[Since he's finally out of the water, Lea has slowly started to thaw out.. and reaches back to itch some odd feeling. Downside is, when he draws his hand back, there's some scraps of pink fabric and wet blood stuck to his fingers. Staring in slowly dawning 'oh crap', Lea slowly turns around.]

Is it.. as bad as I'm thinking it might be?

[Angry red welts were bleeding slowly from just below the nape of his neck all the way down to the small of his back, and it's amazing the front of Lea's shirt stayed on and stayed white from how pink and colored the rest of it was. They looked very suspiciously like jellyfish stings.]

[ffffff what were you even doing, Lea.]

Yes.

[Here, have a Cure, free of charge.]

[That Cure puts an end to the bleeding and heals up some of the more minor wounds, but otherwise... that's still a lot of pink, itchy looking scratches and a torn up shirt. Lea does let out a sigh of relief when he feels that Cure tingling over his back, though he doesn't know how well it worked but he believes it's totally good.]

Thanks.. sor-- [Interrupting sneeze has come again! And again and again and again. Groans when he finally quits sneezing and holds his head a bit.]

Jeez.. thought I was gonna sneeze my brain out.. ow..

I doubt that's possible.

[But here, have Saïx slipping out of his coat and handing it over.]

[Without arguing, he accepted the coat after he turned around and dragged it on around his shoulders. Flipping the hood up even, it hung nearly to his nose before Lea pushed it up enough to still see him.]

Thanks. [Laughing a little, he rubbed his nose.] Man, I've been thanking you since you let me haul myself out of the water. Four times in the last what, five minutes? Jeez.. [Grinning a bit, he nestled into the coat a bit more to start trying to warm up.]

I couldn't exactly leave you to the water's mercy.

Glad to hear it. [Grinning still, he quieted for a bit, just working on warming up. After a comfortable, five minute silence, he spoke up again, leaning forward a little.] Hey, can I ask you something?

I won't stop you.

[Leaning forward a bit more, he was staring straight into his eyes.] How come your eye color changed? I thought it was contacts at first, but I haven't seen you ever put them in or anything, and it's not like you had glasses ever either...

[Oh. Hey thar Lea.

He blinks a bit at the question. He hadn't been expecting that.]

It means I got too close to the darkness.

Too close to the darkness? [Curiously quirks his head a bit, still nearly gazing at his eyes. He's really just trying to name that color. It's gold but too bright for gold but not yellow, and those flecks were almost silver?]

[Didn't he...

No wait, maybe that was the other one.]

It's what makes up the Heartless.

How.. did you get too close to it? [Frowning, oh he recognizes what Heartless are. Half conciously, he's reaching to idly touch over his heart.]
