[It's been a long time coming, but at least one of Xeha's projects seems to be coming to fruition. Given various things, he hasn't really been thinking about it, but...
He's got a nice little computer sitting in front of him on one of the kitchen tables - sleek, shiny, a little integrated system with no obvious power source. From panels in the side, it's possible to see faint yellow glows.

And on the screen, a bare-bones command line prompt. Browsing a book nearby, he pops in commands - text and crude graphics work their way onto the monitor.

He smiles. Magic and technology. Just up his street.]

[hey look, it's Sora! looking curious and oddly enough, a little droopy.]

[He gives her a look, a smile. Hm. Yeah, he can notice the tired.]

Yeah. Hey... how're you doing?

[she smiles a bit, though it's not nearly as cheerful as she'd been the last time they met.]

I'm okay. What's that?

[Aww. Must've had a bad day, he thinks. But for now... All proud-]

Computer I've been building. I modified its systems to work off channelled thunder-type magic rather than normal power sources. Now I'm just trying to set it up...

That's amazing!

[well hey, a friend being happy is a good way to cheer her up, so she brightens.]

It sounds like it would've been really hard.

Yeah, it was. I think I blew up more bits than I actually got to work. [He laughs, scratches his head.] But it was fun.

How long did it take?

Is that Thunder magic?

[Trust the mage to know. ^^]

Uh... I started building this about a year ago, but I got kind of distracted with various things. [A shrug.] It happens, I guess.

Hey! [He gives her a smile.]

Yeah, it is. Just a light burst, focused in a piece of lightning material. Took me ages to get right...

Yeah, I can understand that. Still, congratulations on finishing it.

Thanks. As soon as I can get the programs loaded here, I'm all done! [He gives a smile. Slightly quieter now-] How've you been?

[her expression falls a bit at the question and she looks away.]

I've been okay...

[Yeah, that's a pretty non-okay looking okay, but he'll restrain his frustrated curiosity and give a nod back.]

Ah, alright.

[she feels kind of bad being vague and rubs her arm, wondering what to say.]

...remember how you were gonna look into that Keyblade stuff?

Huh - oh, yeah! I made a start, but I haven't really got anywhere yet... why?

Well... well, you don't need to tell me when you do find something. It doesn't really have to do with me anymore.

[what on earth is she talking about. she's trying not to sound too depressed, because Sora's Don't Get Sad, but it's not going too well.]

[His face falls.] Something... something's happened? With you and ... oh, no. I'm sorry.

I just... wasn't strong enough.

[she's still got it, of course- it hasn't occurred to her that the fact that she's still able to summon what's left of it means she's still a wielder. all she knows is that it's broken and it's her fault.]

How did it happen? What makes you think that? - ack, I shouldn't even be asking, should I? You don't want to tell some guy you don't really know this stuff...

[she stares at the floor for a moment, then summons her Keyblade. what's left of it, of course; the handle and a couple inches of silver shaft.]

Oh, no. Something could do that? And you... agh. [He starts forward to give her a hug.]

[hugs are a much needed thing lately, she can't seem to get enough of them, so his will be quite welcome. the Keyblade end gets dismissed as soon as he's seen it and she sighs quietly.]

Sh... [hug.] There's got to be a way to fix this.

I haven't been able to think of anything...

[hence the depression despite her best efforts.]
