[this afternoon is the final culmination of a month's worth of effort, and Sora being left to his own devices after a hard day of studying: some time ago, he had discovered and met up with a young Moogle who, just like him, was trying to learn how to be hardcore! Sora couldn't turn down the need to help out a friend in a similar situation as him, so every day after his lessons he'd bring a variety of items he'd found lying about the Dressing Room. together, they synthesized simple things like potions, ethers, simple little bangles and the like..]

[a month ago, however, the little Moogle decided he was ready to try something a lot more complicated- and now Sora's finally amassed everything needed to synthesize it! everything's going fantastic so far, with the Moogle tossing in item after item into his little pot, and with Sora on the other side of the room, watching. yeah, okay, he's excited, but a little nervous, too, and for a good reason: unfortunately for this Junior Moogle, all it takes for this recipe is one miscalculation and--]

[residents who happen to be on this side of the Dressing Room, that explosion probably felt an awful lot like an earthquake. if you happen to be down one of the nearby hallways or Sora's family's hallway, prepare to be engulfed in a thick plume of purple smoke. it smells like grapes for some reason.]

[at least smoke is easy to clear out when you've got Celestial Brush Techniques! after a coughing fit, he pulls out his paintbrush and soon some wind is coming out of nowhere to clean out a bit of the hall. what the hell was that?]

[it was a synthesizing disaster! now that some of the smoke is clear, Kai might be able to make out the source of the explosion- there's a door hanging on one hinge down the hall, where more delicious grape smoke is billowing out.]

[well, that's definitely not good. he races on over there and will head inside just a bit so he can try and clear the room out some.]

[if Kai clears out the corner of the room, he'll find a very purple little kid and little moogle huddled in the corner. the moogle's little synthesizing pot has all but melted to the floor.]

[it's probably pretty hard to see through all that smoke, but if Ri follows his nose, he should be able to find the room with the strongest scent of grape. if he's lucky, he might even catch Sora's scent somewhere in there.]

[it is purple and it is delicious and there is a source- take a look down the hallway, Ven, and you might find a doorway blown nearly off its hinges, with more grape smoke plumes escaping.]

[there's the sounds of a kid coughing on somewhere in the corner of the room- staying low to the ground works for fires as well as synthesis explosions, right?]

H-hello? Help!

[says the little voice somewhere off on the other side of the room, followed by a cough. this smoke is just awful. and grape-y.]

*... how weird? well he's rushing in when he hears Sorabug's voice (not that he wasn't anyway) and sees those little spikes and that little Moogle and picks them both up, running out into the non-smoke-congested part of the hallway*

Sorabug! Are you alright? ... Moogle? Why are you... purple?

[that was probably hardly the weightlifting workout it usually is to pick Sora up, oddly enough- he doesn't answer at first once they're safe outside, but just sneezes instead, creating a little cloud of purple grape dust.]

Our Keyblade blew up..

[Zexion's on his way back to Demyx's room with an armfull of books when the explosion goes off. He ends up dropping them all over the place and nearly falls over. Then there's the smoke--he covers his mouth and nose and squints, trying to see where it's coming from.]

What on earth...?

[the delicious grape smoke is actually coming from down the hallway, where a door is almost completely blown right off the doorway- if Zexion cares to investigate, he might find a very confused kid and Moogle trying to escape the room.]

[both kid and Moogle pause a beat, looking like they were just caught, well... blowing up the place. then they both point at each other accusingly.]

[He's in his room when he hears the explosion. He comes running to see what's caused it, right through the purple smoke. But he's a little banged up when he reaches you, because it's not a good idea to run around when you can't see where your going.]

Experiment? [Blink blink] What... exactly were you doing?

[He peers around the room, trying to see through the smoke. It sort of occurs to him after a moment that maybe the smoke could be dangerous and he grabs Sora's arm and starts tugging him away from the room.] We should probaly clear out of here.
