[it's rare to see a Sora without a Keyblade when training, especially this one, but that's exactly the case right now. Sora's in one of the training rooms, beating on a dummy- with a familiar wooden sword. both the dummy and the sword are looking pretty dented, and she's looking pretty tired, and maybe still a bit bruised from her fight with Xigbar a little while back. but of course, she's rather stubborn, and isn't stopping to rest.]

[well he wouldn't know the difference, other than some of those moves look more advanced than what he's ever done. he hasn't realized this Sora is, well, a girl.]

[no, no, he's going over to this mirror along a wall over here to get a better look at his own butt.]

[eventually she's going to stop for a breather, and will happen to glance over, pausing in confusion when she sees that.]

What are you doing?

[he whirls around at that to face her, hands going to cover his butt as if that could hide what he was doing. was that a girl's voice?]

[the look on her face is just. confused. and maybe disbelieving. why are the boy versions of her all so weird?]

[well now it's your turn to get some scrutiny. are those water balloons in your shirt or are you just really happy to see me?]

[Having been wandering around since he 'arrived', Terra found his way into this particular training room and quietly watched for a little bit. About to continue his way, he stopped when he saw now that she had several nasty looking bruises on her arms. Frowning faintly, he stepped further into the room to approach, though he's not trying to startle her.

Course, once he got closer, his brain mildly blanked on how to say 'Don't overwork yourself when you're hurt' without it coming out of the blue :|a considering he hasn't met this girl before, it would seem strange..

Yeah, he's now just standing there, looking like he's trying to say something and it just won't come out.]

[he can take his time, at least for now, because apparently she's so focused on beating the hell out of that dummy that she hasn't noticed him entering yet. she's definitely going to regret overworking herself later, when the aches set in properly, but for now she just doesn't care.]

[Scratching his chin a moment, he couldn't help inwardly agreeing that she is doing a very good job, but... Finally, he just decides on being blunt. If she gets mad, it's for her own good that he's speaking up!]

Don't overwork yourself while you're injured. [Taking a careful step forward, slightly around so he's facing her better while she's abusing the dummy. He is staying out of reach of the wooden sword though -- it could still hurt with how hard she's swinging it.] You will be wishing you hadn't worked so hard in a few hours, I'm sure. [Judging by the bruises anyway.]

[she stops short in surprise when she hears him, then sees him, before glancing away and lowering the sword.]

[Quiet for a few moments, he was inspecting those bruises before speaking up again.] Can I ask what happened? [Actually he's now patting his pockets for a high potion, maybe it can help with those marks. 8|a;;]

[she looks uncertain, but figures a Terra, as an apprentice, would be pretty trustworthy. after a moment, she summons her Keyblade- what's left of it anyway; the handle and a couple inches of shaft. she holds it out hesitantly, eyes on the floor.]

[That's not something he was expecting, and it made him halt in his high-potion search to stare at it in a bit of surprise. A) This girl has a keyblade. B) This keyblade is... broken. That makes him frown gently, more in concern than out of anything else. Reaching then to grip her shoulder reassuringly, he offered a smile.]

It won't stay that way. A keyblade is as strong as the wielders heart.. so don't let it get you down. You lost a fight, I assume.

I don't feel very strong.

[she nods slowly, pulling the weapon back and dismissing it.]

There was a woman in this... graveyard full of Keyblades and she just... took one and broke it. I tried to stop her...

[it didn't go too well, especially when Xigbar pulled out two more and threw them at her so she had to break them herself.]

[Terra only squeezed her shoulder again, leaning down a bit more to be eye to eye level with her.] It's alright. You tried.. [Other hand on her other shoulder now, and he's still offering that smile.] And that's what matters. It's okay to lose, sometimes.. so don't let yourself get this hurt again, alright?

[In before pot calling the kettle black--] You are strong, enough that a keyblade has chosen you. Being down on yourself for not being strong enough.. that's why it looks this way right now.

It looks like this because she opened some weird hole and cut it in half!

[it's not like her losing magically made it like that or something.]

But I did lose because I wasn't strong enough. I didn't even scratch her.

I see. [It's.. well, he always thought it was impossible to cut a keyblade like that. Strange. After another moment of thought, he lets go of her shoulders and stands up straight.]

You should still be able to summon it whole, but your heart needs to recover first. You have to believe that you can win, or it won't return to its former state.

[she goes quiet at that, not believing it to be that simple. it's going to take a while before she believes in herself again, after that shock and how badly she was beaten.]
