[ In a relatively silent hall of the dressing room, the sudden sound of a wall splitting seems to come from nowhere. Cracks weave across the surface like a spider's web, making the wall tremble and shake. Dark sand leaks from the narrow openings, a small precursor for what comes next -- part of the wall crumbles away and a small mountain of sand spills from it, carrying in a young woman with silver hair.

She's barefoot, dressed in plain black robes, and appears to be unconscious as she comes to a stop splayed across the floor. Half-buried in sand though she still is, it's a familiar face she brings back. ]

[So much for that. The sheets get tossed aside immediately so her arms are free to pick him up and hug him until those tears go away.]

[they're not going away any time soon, because he's going to pretty much start bawling as soon as she picks him up.]

I th-thought I was never gonna s-see you again!

[That's okay. She can hold him as long as it takes for him to get it out. She hugs him tight, too, pressing her face into his hair to hide it, because she's having some trouble of keeping her own emotions in check.]

I'm sorry. I never meant to leave.

[he's just going to sniffle and cry and generally make a mess out of whatever Riku's wearing right now. enjoy the snot.]

[She didn't need that t-shirt anyway. Riku will continue to murmur apologies and reassurances as she moves to her door to open it and go inside. She doesn't care about being caught like this in the hallway, but she might as well console him in a more comfortable place.]

[at least he's getting it all out now, which means soon enough he'll be calming. his face is pretty messy now though, but hey, that happens when you're crying your eyes out.]

I love you. 'm sorry you had to go away.

[Give her a second to recover from that overwhelming, heart-warming statement to hug him even tighter. Don't worry, she's making sure he can still breathe.]

I love you too. And don't worry about that. I'm back now, and that's what matters.

[she gets a big snotty smile. he's practically beaming after hearing that.]

Uh-huh!

[Snot be damned, he's getting a soft kiss pressed to his forehead.]

I'm so sorry I left you here. Who's been taking care of you?

The older you!

[did you know you have a baby omg he's so cute. except he was probably told not to mention said baby much around younger Riku, even if he doesn't understand why.]

[She freezes at that, a little surprised, but then quickly thinks she really shouldn't be. If nothing else, she is grateful for it.]

How was it?

It was kinda weird, since she's tons older and also Red's really really weird. But they were nice, so it was okay.

[Riku snorts loudly at that, moving her head to rest it very gently on Kai's shoulder.]

He's definitely weird. But I'm glad it was okay.

[sob, she'll have to thank them now.]

[she can send tinyKai in with a thank you card--]

I like it with you better.

[She might. And aww, Kai, that made her smile.]

Good. Because I missed you.

I missed you too.

[there may be a small collection of pictures for her that he'll have to get later.]

[She's still smiling, but she leans back a little to look at his face, and brings one hand up to brush his hair back.]

Come on. Lets go wash your face.

'kay.

[he knows he needs it. he doesn't mind being clean~.]

[He doesn't mind her carrying him to the bathroom, does he? She doesn't really want to put him down yet- oh damn, the sheets.

Meh. She can kick them through the door.]

[of course he doesn't mind! he'll probably even cling on the way there.]

[Good. That makes her feel pretty good, actually, but she won't say that.]

Red didn't give you anything weird to eat while you were there, did he?

[you had to ask. he looks SO EXCITED TO BE TALKING ABOUT THIS-]

He gave me candy and there was bugs in it! But he said it they were dried out and okay to eat. They were really crunchy and didn't taste gross or anything!

[That... that is much better than she was expecting, actually. Hopefully her relief isn't too apparent.]

Did you like them?

Yeah! But he didn't let me have a lot.

[they were sweets, after all.]

Not surprising.

[Oh look, the bathroom. Time to head over to a cabinet full of towels and such.]
