[ In a relatively silent hall of the dressing room, the sudden sound of a wall splitting seems to come from nowhere. Cracks weave across the surface like a spider's web, making the wall tremble and shake. Dark sand leaks from the narrow openings, a small precursor for what comes next -- part of the wall crumbles away and a small mountain of sand spills from it, carrying in a young woman with silver hair.

She's barefoot, dressed in plain black robes, and appears to be unconscious as she comes to a stop splayed across the floor. Half-buried in sand though she still is, it's a familiar face she brings back. ]

[bounces the sling gently, smiling in a soft, contented way that Riku's probably never seen on an Axel.]

This is Inaya, my daughter. Kai's and my daughter.

[Just let me hold my head in my hands for a minute, while peeking through my fingers because omg Kai's daughter.]

[she has HYENA EARS and red hair isn't she gorgeous. I guess I shouldn't tell you that your older self helped deliver her. >_>]

[Not unless you want to further traumatize me.]

... Inaya, huh?

Mhm. It was my mother's name.

[Inaya's finished with her bottle already because she has her daddy's appetite, so Axel's setting the bottle in the sink and lifting Inaya out of the sling to tuck her against his shoulder. now Riku can see the ears better!]

It's nice.

[And she's beautiful, d'awww. But Riku's too weirded out to say anything actually kind and appropriate like that.]

Are those... normal?

[grins widely, patting Inaya on the back and bouncing her a little.]

No. No, they're really not. I mean, as far as we know. People like me don't usually find others that they get close enough to for something like this to happen.

[She's just glad it's not fangs or something. Excuse her silence, she's honestly not sure how she feels about this. At least she's not reacting like she reacted to her own future self?]

I carried her, if you were wondering. So you don't have to imagine Kai giving birth.

I don't think I wanted to imagine either of you giving birth. Ever.

Well then-- no, nevermind. Sorry, this is probably a bit much for you when you've been gone.

[was about to open his mouth and mention that Girlyku's older self helped, but. :|;; Inaya has successfully burped and started going back to sleep by now. \o\ ]

[Damn you for saying 'nevermind'. Now she's unbearably curious about whatever he was going to say. Of course, she also knows enough about futurepeople that she thinks she doesn't want to know.]

[just as planned. he looks a little sheepish, at least.]

Some things never change, right? Hey, um. D'you want to hold her while I fix some sandwiches? It'll go faster if I'm not trying to work around her.

[Deer in headlights.]

Are you serious?

[Does she look like she has any experience handling babies? What is it with you and the older Ri, man.]

[rolls his eyes.]

Come on, it's not that hard, just don't drop her, and make sure her head's supported. It'll just be a couple of minutes.

[And you both completely ignore her clearly stunned reactions. You'd ignore her protests, too, wouldn't you?! Well, since there's no point in it.]

Fine.

[8D!! he quickly moves over to Riku and shifts Inaya off his shoulder and carefully into Riku's arms.]

Thanks~. I'll do this as fast as I can.

[~~prances~~ heads back to the counter to assemble sammiches and toss them in a pan on the stove.]

[I has a baby. ...why I has a baby.

... Riku's going to take advantage of the situation just to get a good look at Inaya up close, and only because it's Kai. Honestly. At least she's holding her properly.]

[~~to prepare you for the future~~ because you agreed to, because you can't resist me. Inaya's only halfway awake, and blinks sleepily up at Riku, clenching and unclenching her tiny fists. Axel's humming quietly as he cooks. \o/]

[...a-aww. Riku just stares at her, taking in the situation and frowning just a little. She's not surprised, and honestly, she's happy for them, but it's just one more reminder, you know?]

[reminder of... what? that her older self has a child? with Red? or was Hachibi on the right track with thinking Riku was jealous. :|a anyway, he slides four grilled-cheese-and-ham sandwiches onto a plate and sets it on the table.]

She's pretty cute, huh.

[All of it. Minus Hachibi's thoughts on the matter, thanks. :| Riku glances at Axel when the plate hits the table, then turns back to Inaya.]

Yeah, she is.

[he sits slowly, not wanting to take Inaya back until Riku asks him to. it's good for both of them, really. :D]

Probably be a man-eater when she's older– and hopefully not literally.

[She's wondering why he didn't take her back immediately, and kind of glances between the two of them.]

'Hopefully'.

[because Riku's better with kids than she wants to admit to herself, and Axel's trying to encourage it. he'll hold out his arms to take Inaya back, though. if Riku wants.]

I dunno, depends on the guy. At least she'd be able to take care of herself, right?
