[There's a new face among the Dressing Room. On the floor in the room that simulates Never Was, mind you, and unconscious. Which is probably a good thing considering fragments, blue in color, are still collecting, creating her form. Most of herself has been retained by then though. All that's left are her legs and they'll probably recollect before anyone draws near. Her hood is up, but the small frame makes it pretty obvious who it could be for anyone who would know her.]

Well it means that we get to see how this rolls along then, doesn't it?

[He sighs as the other blond walks off. While it wouldn't have made any difference in him going and doing what he just had, some part of him wishes he'd known it would've turned into such an ordeal. With all that happened, he felt exhausted and he knew that there was so much to be done.

Even before he could go through the task of explaining to her all that he'd learned and his personal concern for how long she'd hold up with things as they were, he'd at least have to find them a place to stay for now. And of course, he was sure she'd make some fuss about how all of what happened effected him, but he honestly wasn't too concerned with that.

At least for this moment, after all that happened, he decided that he wanted her to see him smile when she woke up. So he waits and watches with the grin of a guy that had just been to hell and back for the sake of someone dear to him. And when she'd wake up, he figured what he'd say would be simple.]

Morning Xion.

Just enough to wrap up some non-plot-relevant loose ends.

[The sensation of her hand's grip on his shifting is the first bit of feedback to him that she's really coming around. It's enough that he's content to just watch that for a moment before he returns with a ginger squeeze -if not just for the sake of re-affirming to her that he was there and that he hadn't left her. Well, at least he hadn't moved physically from there.

As he watched Xion come around, he knew that there would be much to talk about. He certainly had no intent to back out on his promise to be honest with her, it's just that he figured that after all of the ordeal he consciously remembered going through and just whatever of that she remembered, the idea of just relaxing somewhere was really appealing.

Well, at least for the moment, everything seemed like it was alright and personally, he was fine with that -at least until they had a chance to recover. While he'd been mulling all of that over, he'd been careful to make sure his expression didn't change, hopefully he didn't end up looking any more beaten-up than he already looked.

So Roxas nods before speaking up.]

You really gave me a scare there. How're you feeling?

[Honestly, he didn't really have anything to hide. He had every intention to discuss everything with her once they found some place where they could relax. It was just he didn't want him looking as worried as he felt when she woke up.

He watches Xion carefully as she pulls herself together, his expression dropping a notch when she apologies before he waves his hand dismissively.]

Don't worry about it, the important thing is that you're okay right now.

[Roxas pauses a moment, clearing his throat before continuing.]

Anyway, honestly? A lot happened. Some of it, I'm still trying to sort through. If you'd like, I can just tell you here. But I thought we should find a place to stay first.

[Along those honest notes? He really wanted to know if she remembered anything the transpired. While there were some things he'd done within her inner world that he personally considered shameful, foremost to him was the promise he made.]

[He nods understandingly, wasting little time in getting to his feet. His body feels stiff and a little heavy -but he mused that at least his feet hadn't fallen asleep. He remembered one of those days he'd been waiting for Axel and Xion up on the clock tower and it happened then. Their taller friend sure had a laugh at his expense when he'd been acting like someone had dumped a box of thumbtacks into his boot.

Yeah, that was fairly uncomfortable and he was not looking forward to feeling that again.

So he gives himself a quick stretch, reminding his joints that he is not some kind of statue that just sisters there before offering his hand to Xion.

Roxas smiles, it's weary and he's certainly going to be needing to explain to her why he feels and at least looks a little like that Siege Machine from the Beast's Castle ran him over. But at least it is a genuine smile from him.]

I promised you I wouldn't keep any secrets.

So as soon as we get somewhere safe, I'll tell you everything.

[identity profile] notquiteanobody.livejournal.com 2011-01-25 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[He'd nodded once they decided on a course of action, his hand squeezing back subconsciously as he shifted his weight a little to provide some better stability. Thankfully, he figured that if he was feeling not-entirely-balanced, she wouldn't be faring much better.

The instant Xion's balance gave out, he quickly moved, bringing his other arm into play so he could catch her -though it seemed that she was already thinking the same thing when her other hand reached out and grabbed onto it. Her half-laugh met with a playful grin.]

Yeah, it'll make more sense once we find an inn or something, but you've been through a lot.

[Roxas adjusts his footing and position, bringing Xion's arm over his shoulder and supporting her by reaching across her back and curling his hand to find purchase on her side. Admittedly, the closeness had the side-effect of making him feel that strange, somewhat pleasant awkwardness, but compared to all he'd just been feeling over the past however long had passed? That was a welcome sensation.]

Come on, I thought I saw a moogle not too far from here. It should be able to point us toward a place to stay.

[identity profile] notquiteanobody.livejournal.com 2011-02-01 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
[When he felt her balance give again, he didn't call any attention to it; merely standing there and supporting Xion as best as he could. There was that strange feeling again, that particular sensation of closeness that he couldn't quite put his finger on. It was nice, without a doubt. It was also familiar and yet... and yet it was different. He really didn't have the luxury of thinking too deeply on things, but it was like being genuinely needed by someone.

So he was quiet, contenting himself to enjoying that feeling of having her close -of meaning something to someone other than just being a means to an end. At least she was one of perhaps two people in the world that ever thought of him as such.

Some part of Roxas really wanted to count Naminé into that lot, but he honestly found that he couldn't. And he certainly wasn't counting the one that'd just helped them; it was really their first encounter, so he couldn't even fathom why she'd rendered aide in the first place. Not that it diminished his gratitude in the least.

When she spoke up again, it yanked his attention back to the present as he offered his friend something of a sideways smile, making sure she was properly balanced before getting underway.]

Alright, I know you're probably a little wobbly-feeling, so if you need to lean, go right ahead.

I'm not going anywhere.

[Appreciably, it doesn't take them very long to find one of those omnipresent Moogles acting as a combination shop and information dealer. Contrary to how nearly useless it'd been on their arrival, once he mentioned that all they were looking for was lodging, it was quick to direct them toward a rather cozy little place. Of further fortune was the explanation by the desk clerk that they didn't even have to pay any Munny while they were staying -something about accommodations being provided by the Dressing Room... whatever that meant.

Which eventually left the two emerging through the doorway for a suite well-set for two. If either had any experience traveling like this prior, they probably would appreciate the four-star quality of the room.

But considering how each must feel at the moment, it's still just a nice place to rest and put things together.]
