(no subject)

[In various places in the DR there are various people doing various things. Not all of these various people are very social, but almost all of these various people do things which may be of interest to others. Or perhaps others are of interest to them. Either way, good times man. In fact, the good times right now will be as follows:

*A certain [livejournal.com profile] loliconxel is probably taking a nap somewhere, anywhere to get himself some beauty sleep.

*A certain [livejournal.com profile] revelationed is looking for something. It's not quite clear what he's looking for, but he is searching high and low for it... or them.

*A certain [livejournal.com profile] stalksthewind has just gotten out of the shower and the bathroom, one which happen to be off a major hall with a towel over his shoulder. ...Oh but he's still in his armor, helmet and all.

*One [livejournal.com profile] terranort has found himself a neat little hidey-hole in which he might read a book about the theory of energy in relation to nothingness. It's fascinating stuff.

*And last but not least, there is a very spoilery (seriously don't even look at his profile if you don't want BBS spoilers) [livejournal.com profile] killswater sitting in a dark corner of the DR, looking at you. Yes, you.

[In this post which will very likely have BBS spoilers you may pick your interaction. Merely specify which one you want and I'll roll them on out for you. It's one of those mass posts in a vain hope of getting me back in this here DR.]

[And coming along!]

People have their preconceptions. From the little I've heard, I can almost understand their fears - but to give up because of them? How will that help?

[identity profile] terranort.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It will not help anything. Hesitation in the fact of innovation will accomplish nothing but the prolonging of the status quo.

Indeed. [She smiles. Although she wouldn't have expected anything else but to agree with - well, herself with a Y chromosome as far as she knows.]

We move on. That's how the worlds work.

[identity profile] terranort.livejournal.com 2010-07-21 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
And perhaps how, in time, destiny might be averted.

[Though maybe that's just his desire... or maybe he's walking right into it. He's never sure these days. Anyway, still down the hall lalala...]

[identity profile] exmariascientia.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Destiny's just a word. A name.

[Keeping going - how big is this place again?!]

[identity profile] terranort.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, but there is where we must disagree. "Destiny" is involved in all things... a very tangible force in the worlds. [But at that, he turns, and... there. He opens the door to reveal the lab he's been using for months.

It's about as stacked, equipment wise, as the one in the Garden was, albeit it's arranged differently (one might argue neater, to his eyes) than the one back there. And of course, under-staffed, and having personal touches such as a coffee pot going, the works]

[identity profile] exmariascientia.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[She's about to make another comment, when he does so, and - ah. She smiles.]

Now this is nice. How long did it take you to get it set up?

[identity profile] terranort.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Some few months. Equipment seems to appear... some was already supplied. A few it was necessary to construct myself. [As he says that he nods in the rough direction of a (in his opinion improved) version of Even's early replicating technologies]

[identity profile] exmariascientia.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Like so much here. That's useful.
[And that nod'll send her over there to look at it, trying to identify it - her world wasn't quite that far advanced, so to speak.]
What have you been working on here, then? If you don't mind my asking?

[identity profile] terranort.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Studies of the heart, of course. The relationship of light and darkness and the energy that might be gathered from those relationships.

[identity profile] exmariascientia.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[Another smile.] Keeping things going. That's wonderful! I'd imagine there'd be so many new opportunities here...

[identity profile] terranort.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
So one would believe. At the least, the possibilities have grown.

[identity profile] exmariascientia.livejournal.com 2010-07-23 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. [She's wandering a bit, looking at the various bits of kit around the place (and mentally making notes.)]
