[there's a scream from down this hallway as some poor soul is consumed by the shadows -- not Heartless, simply moving shadows. as the last dying gurgle escapes the writhing mass, a figure rises out of it slowly, darkness rolling and dripping off him like smoke and water. the figure is fully dressed in dark leather; heavy boots, pants, and a lovely leather jacket with a black wifebeater beneath it. he breathes the darkness in, out, a slow and dangerous smile making its way onto his face as he takes in the sight of the hallway. a hand goes to his pocket, a cigarette is pulled out and put to his lips, lit with a flick of his other hand. he runs that hand through his dark blue hair afterward, red eyes bright with malicious intent.]

Well now... didja miss me, dressing room?

[he doesn't enjoy the sound at all. as good as his hearing has gotten, that should have struck home. he doesn't have any magic left, but he still has his Keyblade. he's very aware of being outmatched however, and is going to simply make a break for it, one hand to the wall. if he can just reach another person, surely...]

[there's a wall of shadow swiftly blocking that particular exit, Gem strolling casually along behind Riku.]

[that brings him up short, and he can feel the hair on the back of his neck rising at the realization that he's somehow gotten way over his head. he can hear footsteps coming up behind him, and as much as he doesn't want the darkness behind him, he wants 'Kai' behind him even less. turning, he brings up his Keyblade and gets ready to attack- or defend, more likely]

[oh please, that just makes things easier. tendrils escape the darkness behind Riku, their movements slow and almost loving as they reach out to caress him, a far cry from the aggressive attacking earlier.]

[he knows he can't truly avoid that darkness, knowing who's controlling it now. still, he stiffens when he feels that gentle touch, leaning away from it.]

[whoops, darkness tentacles wrapping around Riku's limbs, trying to pull them back so he's straightened out against the wall. if he doesn't cooperate, one will be around his neck as well.]

You could be a complete stranger to them and it would still have enough of a reaction. After all, it's not about you, it's about your message to them. I'll be leaving you somewhere you're sure to be seen.

[he swallows hard, trying to suck in his breath to avoid the blade.]

[he can't help but cry out at that, his muscles straining as he tries to get away, to press his hands to the wound, anything. dark blood wells up to quickly run down his side, soaking into his pants and staining them.]
