[If one finds themself wandering down a particular hall today, there’s a trail of water to be accidentally stepped in. it almost looks like something soaking wet was dragged along- and the trail ends at the door to the desert room. Unfortunately, the wind blowing sand has nearly covered the rest of the trail, but it’s barely there if you’re really that curious. Should anyone be, they’ll find it leads out a ways under the shade of a large rock, where there’s a rather unfortunate Kairi tied to it and passed out from the heat.]

[Dum de dum, Kurt's just wandering back home... he was pretty sure he never put a sign out saying KO'd Kairi Storage, that's for sure.

Well, then. Time to get to the bottom of this. Crouching down nearby-]

[Hm. He'll try giving her a shake, then; nothing too forceful, though. Just an attempt to get through.]

[She's pretty much a damsel in distress here. The heat has made sure she'll be out until her body temperature isn't so overheated.]

[Well, he's not going to get any explanations out of her like this... a frown, a moment's thought, and he pulls together a bubble of what Darkness he can find. A sunshade of sorts.]

[She's lucky Roxas was just headed back from training when he saw that bit of trail and followed it to her.]

Kairi?

[He notices she's unconscious and sprints towards her.]

Kairi!

[Yeah, just passed out and half dead here. there's a metal ring that's been shoved into the rock, and the rope between it and her wrists is what trapped her before she passed out.]

[Roxas falls to his knees beside her, one hand touching that rope and burning it off, while the other slides behind her back. He scoops her into his arms gently, and lifts her as he stands and heads towards that oasis in the room.]

[Still unconscious, and looking pretty grim.]

[He immediately drops down to the little pond, setting her right into the shallow area and grabbing hand fulls of water to try to force down her throat. Roxas is trying to be careful and gentle, but he's trying not to panic all at the same time.]

[It takes a bit, but eventually she starts to wake, coughing and sputtering at the water.]

[A huge sigh of relief is breathed over here and he lets his hands fall back into the water to dab at her cheeks.]

Kairi? Can you hear me?

[She's mildly panicked at first, still now even fully conscious and breathing slow. When she speaks, it's raspy and hoarse at best.]

...R-Roxas?

Yeah, I'm here...

[He gives her a slight smile, still trying to cool her off. He reaches up with his palm and brushes some of the cool water over her forehead.]

Jeez, don't scare me like that.

[She makes a relieved noise at that, because the cool water feels so much better than hot dry air.]

I'm just glad you're okay. What happened to you?

[He keeps doing that, alternating between dabbing at her cheeks, neck, and forehead.]

[She weakly bats his hand away after a moment, pushing herself out into the deeper water and submerging for a good minute or so. When she comes back up, she looks a little better at least.]

[He stays right where he is, and when she re-emerges, he'll be helping her back to the shallow end near him.]

[Even if she kinf of doesn't want to leave the cool water, she'd like to get out of this hellhole. So if he leads, she'll stagger along behind.]

[Aw hail no. He's lifting her back up in his arms and carting her off before she even has a chance to argue. No need to waste energy that she doesn't have to.]

[She protests at first, but gives up after a moment. Too tired to argue.]

[Rest, you. Roxas is even toning down his normal temperature to make sure she doesn't get too hot. And his shirt is. kind of soaked with water too, so she should be good! He's just going to take her down to his usual family hallway and into his room. He still has that extra bed in there, so he'll be laying her down on that carefully.]

Go ahead and rest, I want to keep an eye on you.

[But she rests anyway, not up to arguing with Mr. Mother Hen.]

[And he leaves, returning a moment later with some cold ice packs and wet cloths. He's going to set a wet cloth on her forehead and set the others beside her.]
