side B -- there's a fire inside

[Against this section of wall, there is a Red. He's slumped against it, hood pulled up. He's unconscious.

Blood is splattered across the glass, the only evidence of what happened.

From side A, it would be fairly difficult to see the wisps of decidedly red hair peeking out of the hood.]

Her subtle way of saying this isn't right.]

["Is that a compliment or an insult?"

You can never tell with Rikus.]

[Riku actually hesitates with the tip of her pencil to the glass.

"A compliment"]

["Then I'll take it as one."]

[dawnrise]

["Good"

It's neither, technically, but it's closer to compliment than insult. She starts to write something else, then stops, staring at him again. What can she say?]

[Whatever she wants? He looks a bit curious about what she was going to write, at least.]

[Then it's too bad she drops her hand.]

[Fine then. He pockets his writing utensil, in his pants since the jacket is being a dick to him now, and turns to go.]

[Wh-- Her hands fly to the glass. She's immediately asking him to wait, even if he can't hear her.]

[before]

[He's not completely facing away yet, so he stops and looks back, raising an eyebrow.]

[dawnrise]

[She's relieved he didn't just walk away.

"Where are you going to be?"]

[before]

["I don't know."

Wandering, most likely. Until he finds somewhere quiet.]

[She's frowning again.

"Then I'll find you."]

[before]

["If that's what you want."]

[dawnrise]

[Riku pauses and takes a deep breath before she starts writing this time.

"I want to help you. You're my friend, and this is something I never wanted you to"

She stops abruptly when she rethinks what she's writing. 'Become' isn't the word she wants to use here.

"go through. I know I can find a way."

There's another pause, but she's not done yet. She goes back to 'friend', circles it, then writes another line a little farther down. This she is very serious about.

"You're still my friend, with or without your heart."]

[He doesn't know what to respond with, not really. He knows he'll look back on this later and feel all warm and fuzzy and what the fuck ever, but for now, his answer is simple.

"Thanks."]

[She knows it's not going to really affect him like this - Riku knows Nobodies far better than he does. She knows he is aware of the situation, but she doubts he's been hit by the gravity of it yet. There's much more to it. But if he can know what she wrote, maybe it'll make things easier. If he knows that she won't let him stay like this.]

[As much as he doesn't want Riku getting hurt over him, the fact that she's so insistent... yeah, he'd be incredibly touched normally. Though he'd hardly show it any more than he appears to be now.]

[dawnrise]

[Riku would be surprised if he did. And this is going to drive her crazy until the spell's over, because she knows even if she found something immediately, unlikely as that is, she wouldn't be able to get to him. She looks much more calm and reserved and Riku now, if that's any better. She nods at him, eyes on his chest.

"Try to take care of yourself."]

[before]

[Well, that's more like it. He smiles, faintly, and nods.

"Will do."]

[dawnrise]

[Riku nods right back at him, and slips her pencil behind her ear, meaning if he wants to leave to do that he can. She won't be happy to see him go, but there's no point in standing around staring at each other.]

[He turns to go again, in that case, but pauses and turns back long enough to write out a quick "see you" before he leaves. If she writes anything else, he won't see it unless he comes back later.]
