[and in this familiar hall, there is a Riku who looks roughly seven years old. he's wearing an Organization coat that is way too big for him, and seems to be trying to hoist it up enough to climb out of those over-sized black boots.

No, it's not. And it's a beautiful place.

Or it was, and it isn't anymore. Depends on what side of the Queen you managed to end up, you see. Me and my Riku didn't end up on the good side.

What's that mean?

[because it sounds like he's saying they were Bad Guys]

It means she didn't like us very much, and we don't like her very much either.

But that's okay. She likes chopping off heads and turning people mad... You can't really befriend a person like that.

She chops off people's heads?

What can I say? She's not the nicest lady in the world.

[He bristles, ears tipping back.]

...I... sure hope not... If she discovers me off-duty, and even saying very nasty things about her, I'll find out exactly how many ways there are to skin a cat.

...But tell you what. If you spot a demonic-looking woman, you'll say something, right? And I'll be right there to help you.

[Look at that, he's being a bit more like a big brother than a Sora should be. This must be jarring to a Riku.]

[frowns, not knowing what 'skin a cat' means but thinking it doesn't sound good.]

I don't need help, I can take care of myself!

Hah, hah, hah - do you now?

[Riku's face, Riku's thunder... but the independence thing was a new one on him. Considering what did happen to Riku, this was rather jarring.]

Uh huh. I take care of me, and Sora, and Kairi. I don't need a babysitter!

I'm not talking about babysitting, I'm talking about protecting you against something you can't possibly go against.

Besides, considering that collar you're wearing, I'm not sure I should trust you on that.

[blinks and looks down, having almost forgotten he was wearing it]

You mean the necklace? It's not mine, I just can't get it off.

[Chesh taps it. He notices there's a charm on it.]

Kai, huh...

[looks down as he taps, poking the chakram charm next to it that says 'Axel']

Kairi's name must have been to long to fit all the way. I dunno who Axel is.

Axel-

[That's Dodo.]

...And Kairi, huh?

[And that's Mock Turtle.]

I happen to know both those names, Riku. But I doubt they're the same people who did this.

Kairi didn't do it!

[his Kairi is sweet and never gets into trouble, because even if she should, he and Sora cover up and take the blame.]

Then obviously this Axel is to blame for your predicament.

But... I didn't see him do it.

[and the collar is welded shut. he definitely would have remembered that happening.]

Maybe you just don't remember?

No... It was here when I got here... I think I got stuck wearing someone else's clothes, but I dunno how.

Maybe there's just a hole in your memory. And during that time, Axel decided you looked good in a collar.

Maybe we should get you some different clothes.

But why would someone I don't know make me wear it?

[looks down at the Organization coat he's practically swimming in. he'd very much like some different clothes, yes.]

[Chesh vanishes, then reappears with some shorts and a t-shirt. Both Riku's approximate size, but don't ask where he got them. He won't tell.

(That other Riku down the corridor yelling for his clothes back might e a clue, though.)]

This Axel certainly knows you, even if you don't know him.

[He presents the clothes.]

[another Riku yelling is not something to go unnoticed. This Riku will just be boggled for a moment at seeing someone else that looks so much like him, then wrinkle his nose at the offered clothes]

I don't want his clothes. I want my own back.

[He puts the clothing back, returns, and holds out his hand. There's a little Riku down the corridor now fully clothed, except his shirt's backwards and inside out... not that Chesh cares.]

Then I guess you'll have to trust me to lead you around and find you some, because I don't have yours.
