[What appears to be a pile of Heartless has just appeared in one of the stray corridors. More Heartless pile on to it, until there's a burst of light, and a hooded figure fights his way out of it, twin Keyblades spinning. He looks taller than your average dual-wielding Roxae, though. Not noticing the sudden scenery change, he continues fighting through the horde.]

[That's definitely something he's missed; then again, hard to miss something when you're not existing anymore. This place has a way of messing everything up.

Slices through several more and moves around to play backup for Roxas.]

[With all the Heartless taken care of between the two of them working, he lets out a little breath and chuckles faintly, letting his chakrams fade and dusting his hands.]

[It takes him a few seconds before he glances at Axel. What to ask first...]

What do you say.. [Plants a hand on his shoulder.] we go get some ice cream?

After a while, he nods, looking up. Hey, he's not that short anymore.]

[He's noticing that, but he'll ask later. Honestly, he knows Roxas is supposed to be merged with Sora, so he's got his own questions.

So for now, he'll just steer him in the direction of the nearest kitchen so they can raid the freezer for sea salt ice cream.]

[Lets go of his shoulder when they reach the kitchen and walks ahead to open the freezer and dig through a few bags of frozen veggies. Who eats that stuff anyway?

Pulls out a couple bars and offers one to him, moving to tug the wrapper off his with his teeth.]

[Takes it and unwraps his own ice cream carefully.]

[With his free hand, finally manages to peel the wrapper off and toss it into the trash before taking a bite -- Axel can't help making a face.]

Whoa, it's like I forget how salty it is when I haven't had any in a while!

Alive? I have no idea, to be honest. [Talks around the ice cream in his mouth, turning to lean an arm on the counter and watch Roxas.]

I shouldn't be, if that's the thing. [Pauses in munching his ice cream, idly wiping his mouth with his sleeve.]

... it's been years since you died. Roughly almost three years.

Nearly three years? I guess that does explain that. [So three years since.. what even happened after he died? Takes another bite of the ice cream.]

How come you're not part of Sora? [Not that I'm not glad to see you buddy, in fact I'm more than happy to see you than I technically can feel. It's that 'you make me feel like I have a heart' deal again.]

[Don't look like that now Roxas, you're pulling on his heart strings. Reaches and slings his arm around his shoulders, dragging him to stand beside him without saying anything and just taking another bite of his ice cream.]
