[so. if you happen to be walking into one of the DR's kitchens right now, you may well happen across this male!xion, who seems to be having a bit of ... an issue ... with cooking. because he sucks at it.
in fact, it might be the loud crash that brings you running! to spot this little dude kneeling on the floor, a bowl on his head, covered in flour. positively ghost-like.
whether you say something or not, he's going to sigh enormously, get up, take the bowl off and set it on the messy table beside him, and shake his head out like a dog, getting flour all over everything in a five foot radius.
someone stop him before he explodes the kitchen or something.]
I've got to get this right eventually...

Blowing things up?

Uh ... not intentionally. I slipped and knocked the bowl off the table... I was trying to bake something. Turns out I'm not very good at cooking.
no subject
I'm not very good at baking either. What were you planning to make?
no subject
A cake. Just a cake! I thought it couldn't possibly that hard, and now I think I might be finding flour in my clothes for weeks.
[gives his hair another scrub with a hand, causing a mini flourocalypse, but nothing as bad as before. his expression is "fml" in human form.]
At least it's not just me.
no subject
Not just you. You should have seen the kitchen the first time I tried to make a birthday cake.
[Unfortunately for Riku, she made the mess with the wet ingredients already in. That took a lot of time to clean. Either way, she is amused by the state of his hair.]

I used an electric mixer with the setting way too high.
[She leans against the counter, looking up.]
Pretty sure there's still some left on that ceiling.
no subject
Well, now I don't feel so bad about getting flour all over.
no subject
[She shrugs, setting her drink down and moving over to him. The towel is getting dropped over his head.]
no subject
Thanks. Though, I might need three people to help me clean up all this flour...
no subject
I'll help if you'll let me grab something to eat first.

I think I'll do it myself.

You alright?

[She has successfully made a small pile of flour, and is now going after the flour dusting the area around his feet.]
no subject
[ack. doesn't want to move and track more around the room, but Riku in close quarters = ffffffffffffff. suddenly a little awkward, tries very hard not to show it, and probably fails.]
no subject
Move your feet.

Dustpan is ... probably in a cabinet beneath the sink or something. Xion just glances up with the oven makes a noise, a long beeeeeeeep. Meaning it's at cooking temperature, of course, but Xion actually started a little, staring at it in bewilderment.]

no subject
Why did it make that noise? That was weird. I almost knocked over the flour again.
no subject
[...oh. Sometimes she forgets how... clueless Xion is. She pulls the pizza out, and steps back over to the oven to open it.]
Sorry. It was telling me it was warm enough to put this in now.
no subject
And I wonder why I can't cook. I don't even know how most of these things work!
no subject
[Riku smirk a little, placing the pizza inside on the rack and closing the oven. Now, to set the timer.]
no subject
no subject
I could show you.
no subject
Really? You wouldn't mind?
no subject
I wouldn't mind.
no subject
Great! Just ... let me know when you want to, I guess.
[g-goes back to cleaning, too. visibly very pleased.]
no subject
That's up to you. I don't have anything else I need to do.
no subject
What are you trying to get right?
no subject
Uh ... a cake. It's not as easy as recipes make it sound.
no subject
You need dry and wet ingredients.
no subject
Uh .... y-yeah, I did get that. I'm just not that great at putting everything together, I guess. I slipped and knocked over that flour, for starters. [runs a hand through his hair and RAINS FLOUR. coughs and sighs.]
no subject
You'll want to put the bowls on a mat so they don't slide.
[He states, grabbing a few from a high counter and parking them on the counter's surface.]
