[back down a certain heavily occupied hallway there's a little kid and several stacks of cards. Sora knows how to play Go Fish and the like, and although doing so with these is entirely plausible, he learned quickly that he can do a different sort of trick with the cards. he's pretty sure he has no use for the bright red cards with weapons on the front, though after poking through a different stack of blue cards, he discovered he could create a tiny wisp of fire and a tiny block of ice! Sora hopes he won't get in trouble for the little black spot on the wall that's still smoldering.]

[he's also discovered stack of cards piled neatly next to a locked door Sora is pretty sure wasn't there when he woke up this morning. setting the door on fire didn't work, so now he's plopped down next to it, shuffling through the new stack.]

[pulls the mug away. that is quite a manly root beer float mustache he is sporting.]

*fetches a napkin*

But spilling on your face isn't really spilling, Daddy! You're 'sposed to get stuff on your face.

Oh, is that how it works?

*is amused*

Yup! That's why your face is there! Otherwise your food would just fall on your shirt.

Oh, I didn't know that. You're very smart, 'bug.

I am! That's 'cause I know my ABCs!

You do. Now finish up the last of your treat, and you can play a little bit more before your bath.

[well, he's a little too full to finish his treat, so he abandons it and starts climbing on Ri instead. arrr, he is a conqueror!]

*is climbed upon*

I got you!

[latches on to Ri's shoulders, laughing.]

*puts a hand under your bottom to make sure you don't fall*

Oh no! A Sorabug caught me! What should I do?

Surrender all your cards to me!

*pats your bottom*

Well, I certainly can't do that.

But I conquered you! So you gotta do what I say!

Not if you could get hurt, 'bug.

... But I conquered you!

*gives you a smooshy kiss*

You did. But I still won't let you get hurt. A good Daddy doesn't let things like that happen.

[snuggles a little, but he's pouting.]

I wouldn't get hurt! I'm too hardcore.

Mmmm... maybe next year, 'bug, if you practice and do your lessons.
