[ Who is Ventus?

The question had been at the back of Xion's mind for days now, ever since Xehanort had mentioned the boy's name to her. When Xion had asked him about Ventus, he'd only been able to tell her so much. She'd appeared to him as Ventus, but she wasn't sure who that was, what connection he had with Sora, or where he was now.

Xion did know, however, that people of all kinds showed up at the Dressing Room, and so there was a good chance that this Ventus was around here somewhere too! She was looking for anything that might help set her the right direction - whether that meant running across Ventus himself or finding someone who knew him. So here she was, wandering around the Dressing Room.

From Xehanort's description, Ventus was supposed to look something like Roxas. So if you're blue-eyed blond with spiky hair, Xion just might be checking you out. Don't feel bad if she looks a bit discouraged after a few seconds. She's got a knack for identifying Roxases. She just hoped she'd be able to tell a Ventus apart from a Roxas when she came across one.

She'd say the boy's name from time to time in hopes it might catch the attention of him or someone who was familiar with the name. ]

Ventus?

[Well, it just so happens that there's a Ventus in a big hurry. He's in so much of a hurry that he hasn't really caught onto Xion just yet.]

[ Xion caught him out of the corner of her eye because he was in some sort of rush. What was the hurry? Now she her foremost reason for being curious in him wasn't because he might have been Ventus, but because of his strange behavior.

So Xion began to tail him. She'd see how observant he was, anyway. ]

Man, this isn't good!

[Still not noticing. Ven isn't the most observant at times, and he's kind of worried about something!]

[ Subconscious checklist! Looks like Roxas? Check. Sounds like Roxas? Check. Acts like Roxas? Check...if Roxas was in some sort of race. Slow down! Xion's hurrying after him, but this boy runs notably faster than her. She's beginning to fall behind, so she's trying to push herself harder now.

What isn't good? ]

[Still running for a sec, although he pauses to take a quick look around.]

There's gotta be something I can do. But what? Come on...

[ He's stopping, but Xion realizes too late that she took a loss when she decided to stow away her Organization uniform. The boots must have had better grip, because before Xion knows it's happening, her attempt to stop in her tracks has her slipping forward on the floor. She's still on her feet, but the tumble forward is inevitable, so she just puts her arms out to catch her fall. Xion will just be crashing into the floor over here. ]

[And STOP. Ven slowly turns around, and--]

...Uh.

[ Xion pushes herself back off her hands to her knees, and then back up to her feet, brushing herself off. Her palms are a tiny bit red, and her wrists can feel the aftermath of catching the weight of the rest of her body, but she seems to be alright. And if she could get away with it? She'd pretend he'd never seen it happen!

But she was still a little tongue-tied. ]

Is—... Are there—... Do you know where I can find Ventus?

[Whoa, whoa. Ven steps closer, tilting his head. Kid looks a little concerned.]

That must've been some fall. You alright?

[---and then that question.]

Oh! Actually, I'm Ventus, but everyone calls me Ven.

[ Xion ignores his question, because that answer right after it throws Xion through a loop. But she's grinning soon enough. ]

I've been looking everywhere for you!

[ Pause. She casts a glance back over her shoulder, before returning her gaze to Ven's. ]

But what are you running from? ...or to?

You have?

[...Headtilt. And then he scratches his head.]

I...actually don't know where I'm going right now. Just trying to get away from this jerk.

Xehanort told me about you... I wanted to meet you.

[ This jerk? What jerk? ]

You're really fast— are you sure that he could keep up with you for this long?

Xehanort? ...Which one?

[Aw, that gets a small little smile out of him, and he even places his hands behind his head.]

He's just as fast as me, so I've really gotta be careful. Thanks, though!

Oh, um...

[ The midget one? ]

The young one?

[ She tilts her head at that, but he gets a smile back. ]

Then I hope you won't mind if I get right down to it: how are you connected to Sora?

Oh, him! Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy. Definitely not like the other Xehanorts around here.

[Aaand a pause.]

Well, it's kind of a long story.

[ Tiny frown. ]

Ven, to him, I looked like you... I need to know why. Isn't there someplace we can go that whoever you're running from won't think to look?

You looked like me...? You know, that's weird! I saw another you, and at first she looked like me, too.

[And he nods.]

Okay. There's gotta be a room around here we could go to.

[ So she wasn't the only one that thought it was strange! ]

Alright, how about...

[ Here's Xion, peering around the general area for just about the first door she can spot. Oh, there's one. ]

That one?

[ Although Xion hadn't even the slightest idea of what "that one" was. ]
