[ You know, when Riku found this room, she thought it would be interesting to explore. A giant room with giant toys. Nutcrackers, mostly, with some other classic toys - dolls, ballerinas, wooden blocks, and porcelain clowns... She thought she'd hang around for a bit, maybe experience life as a doll. Then the giant music box caught her eye, and she just had to investigate. That's how she wound up in this mess.

Not that you could immediately tell it was her. See, the only visible part of her is from the waist down. The music box? Locked, with a keyhole. Apparently she tried to get inside... And now she's stuck. Perfect. ]

Better than staying stuck.

[If she needs him to help, she can ask. For now he's going to try and pry his fingers under the lid of the box, so he can lift it enough to see where the latch, or latches are. He'd guess it would just be right above the lock, but you never know.]

Yeah...

[She has to agree with that. The latch won't be hard to find, as he's got the right idea. As for Riku, she won't ask for help, but she's mostly got it anyway. The hard part is trying to twist in the air so she's on her side. Doing that seems more likely to get her hips through.]

[He'll pull his fingers out from under the lid once he sees that latch, He's also trying not to watch her too much, since that would be rude.]

Do you need help?

[Not like she'd notice. There's a quiet grunt as she tries forcing herself through, but she's making progress!]

I've got it.

[However, on the other side of the room, one of the nutcrackers was just knocked over.]

[It would still be rude. She's also a bit young for him. He had opened his mouth to reply, but instead he's going to jump at the sound, turning to see why the nutcracker got knocked over.]

[Cloud's such a gentleman. The nutcracker is lying quite innocently on the floor, face-down, and there doesn't appear to be anything around that could have caused it. Riku didn't hear it, so she's managed to slide through the keyhole to her knees.]

[You have to be when the girl you live with can punch through a wall. Even if he doesn't see anything, he's pulling out his sword. He'll need it to break the lock anyways.]

Once you're all the way in, make sure to move to one side of the box.

[Ah, survival skills. She slips right on in now that she's past those hurdles, and there's some shuffling from inside.]

Alright.

[He'll give her a few moments once the shuffling stops, just to make sure she's moved out of the way, before taking a good look around. That nutcracker couldn't have fallen over on it's own.]

Don't move.

[He still doesn't see anything, so he'll be forcing his sword under the lid where the latch is, breaking it pretty easily when he presses the sword forward.]

[As soon as the latch is broken, Cloud might hear some toys knocking into each other farther away. Riku, oblivious to anything outside, is pushing the lid up as soon as she can.]

Finally.

[The blond will be pulling his sword out of the box when he hears that, turning to try and find the source of the noise.]

There's something else in this room...

[Once the lid has been pushed off, the box begins to play music from The Nutcracker. At the same time, a chorus of squeaking comes from the same direction as those toys, and Riku stills.]

Something.

[Squeaking? That's rather odd. He wouldn't expect a monster to squeak... But he's not about to let his guard down just because of that.]

It was knocking over the toys while you were in the box... Whatever it is, it must be big.

[She wouldn't either. Then again, with what some of the Heartless look like... Riku hops out of the box, looking around carefully. Whatever it is making that noise, it's getting closer.]

We should get out.

[Nods. He's not exactly keen on finding out what is making the noise if he doesn't have to.]

Right.

[Unfortunately for both of them, there appears to be an army of giant mice about their size coming out from behind the toys. They have swords!]

[... An army of giant mice with swords? Does this place ever do anything normal? Hopefully Riku knows how to fight, because that's a lot of mice for one person to deal with alone, even if they aren't tough.]

Do you know how to fight?

[Apparently not! Riku nods, stepping back to summon Way to Dawn]

Yeah.

[Oh good, he doesn't have to worry about defending Riku from the swarm of rats. Not that he won't keep an eye on her, but he won't fuss over her. Alright giant mice, how do you like some ice magic being cast on you?]

[As one would expect, they don't like that at all. Those that aren't hit charge toward the two of them, prompting Riku to fire off a Dark Aura.]

[It would be kind of weird if they did like it. Cloud's going to start slashing through the mice when they charge, mindful to keep an eye on where Riku is, so he doesn't end up having her in the way of an attack.]

[No need to worry about that. Riku knows to stay out of the way when she's fighting alongside someone, and she's doing the same thing farther off. The mice aren't particularly skillful with their swords - their number might be what makes it most difficult.]

[That makes things a bit easier, at least. He doesn't have much problem cutting down the individual mice, but their numbers are a bit overwhelming. He's mostly trying to force a path over to the door because he doesn't plan on trying to taking them all on.]

[Looks like they've got about the same idea. Riku's jumped onto one of the giant blocks, firing off Dark Auras to send the mice back. At this rate, it won't take them too long...]

[Good, since he'd feel like a jerk if he just left her there to fight off a ton of mice. Since Riku's well out of the way, he'll cast lightening, which gives him enough space to dash for the door.]
