[today Sora is spending his time honing his fencing skills - Keyblade skills - out in the middle of a main hallway. he even has a real live Heartless to practice on!]

[it's a very menacing-looking, miniature Darkside, about the size of a guy in a costume - wait, it is a guy in a costume - waving its arms and stomping around and tickling whenever it lands a swipe. Sora is having the time of his life bashing the 'Heartless' in the kneecaps with his toy Keyblade.]

[oh, um. he dropped it on the floor in his excitement when he was being attacked! hurry, you might be able to get to it before the Heartless realizes what's happening.]

[hurries over there, scooping the Keyblade up and handing it to Sora.]

[he snatches the Keyblade and swings it at the Heartless sort of wildly - it's a direct hit! the Heartless kind of stumbles, then down it goes.]

You did it!

[you get a victory swing, 'bug!]

I did it! I killed the giant bug, Mister Kai guy!

[waves his arms.]

Obviously there should be taffy all around.

[oh, the giant bug sits right up, looking as interested as a bug is capable.]

Does the giant bug want to come, too?

[might be going over to offer him a hand up.]

[pries the mask off of his head, and takes Kai's hand gratefully.]

[laughs and pulls Sora up.]

Alright guys, let's go get some taffy.

An' potatoes! Let's have the Thanksgiving potatoes, too! Okay, Mister Kai guy?

Taffy and potatoes, huh.

Yeah! It'll be the best dinner ever!

[wiggles and waves his arms at Kai.]

How about something more like potatoes and some other stuff, and then taffy as dessert.

I didn't get to help cook this year. Helping make the leftovers is almost as good, right?

[pulls off the costume, revealing a shirt and jeans underneath - my, someone has filled out quite a bit since going home.]

[oh, he's noticed that, and looks pretty happy.]

[flexes - well, okay, he may look like a grown man, but there's still a goofy kid in there somewhere.]

That's great! Have you seen your family yet?

[because you know he probably heard somewhere that Sora was at least missing.]

Not yet .. I only got back a few minutes ago, stuck in this -

[gestures to his costume.]

- and then I scared the heck out of this little guy here, but he defeated me, so!

[snorts, shaking his head.]

You'd better go see them after the food.
