[Quick enough to be able to move his hand so that the knife stabs down between his fingers as opposed to hitting vulnerable flesh. And since one good turn deserves another he forces a teleport on the knife, moving it out of Xaldin's hand and putting it over his already-injured foot. Point down, of course.
