[Namine had been having trouble with her costume- she was some sort of... ghost thing. Her upper half was solid enough, though her hair was acting a bit like she was in water, but at her waist she started to get transparent. That was another thing. Her normal, short white dress had lengthened long enough that her feet weren't visible at all, the dress just faded away near the floor. There was a strange, shapeless, blueish light where her legs normally were, visible through her dress.

BUT ANYWAY. She hadn't expected to come across a batch of Heartless while trying to get used to her new form. She didn't have a weapon, and with her upper half still solid, she wasn't sure if they could get her heart or not. She didn't want to chance it, and in her panic screamed out of instinct; high and loud and almost painful to hear. And much to her surprise, the Heartless exploded.]

(ooc: Uh. Explanation kind of: I couldn't think of anything else, so she's a World of Warcraft banshee. Hence the screaming thing.)

What happened?

[~~Does he have the beard.~~ Namine's covering her mouth to muffle any sound that comes out, even though when she speaks it's normal (if a little echo-y).]

I-I'm not sure.

[~~What no.~~ That doesn't do much for his worried expression.]

Are you okay?

[She lowers her hands and nods, floating closer.]

I- yes. There were Heartless... but they exploded after I screamed.

[That gets a slightly surprised expression.]

Maybe that's the power to go with your costume?

Maybe...

[Looks down at herself, trying to see that blue light beneath her.]

[That is rather interesting for a costume, anyway.]

At least you have a way to fend off Heartless now.

[At least the top part of her dress didn't change to match that picture.]

Mm! It's too bad it's only for this costume.

[That's a very good thing.]

Yeah. ...You could learn to defend against them another way after this though, if you wanted.

I could. I don't think I'd be very good with a weapon, though...

[Shrugs.]

You could learn to be. Just takes practice.

I-I guess.

[Smiles at him, almost hesitantly. She's kind of scared to be around him in case she does that explode-y thing again orz]

[Figures she's probably still a bit on edge about that.]

...I'll let you get back to what you were doing.

No, it's- it's okay, I just...

[She sways a bit in place, some sort of nervous gesture.]

Don't want to accidentally hurt you.

[Pauses.]

I'll be fine. Maybe it only works against Heartless or something.

I hope so.

[But she smiles hesitantly anyway.]

[Cue awkward silence. He's not very good at this conversation thing sometimes.]

So, uh. How've you been?

I've been learning how to cook a little.

[She messes up more often than not though.]

[Nods.]

What kind of stuff?

Easy things, mostly...

Sounds like you're making progress, at least. That's good.

Slowly, yeah.

[She rises a bit without really realizing it, rubbing her arm and glancing away with a faint blush.]

...Must be weird to float instead of standing.

[What with the rising and hovering and all.]

It's... different, that's for sure. Not too bad, though.

Anything else feel different? I mean, since you're sort of... ghost-like.

Um... I went through a wall, but I haven't been able to do it again. I've still got my heart...

[He'd downright flip if her heart disappeared.]

[She'd be quite upset as well. ....If she was able to, obviously.]

Well, maybe if you can go through things like walls, Heartless might not be able to hit you.

[Just theorizing.]

Maybe. I don't think I want to find out.

You probably won't have to with that... ability of yours.

I guess I'll just.. have to make sure not to do it around anyone.

Good idea. And if any Heartless show up when someone else is around, they can probably take care of it.

Yeah... you're right.

[She looks much more cheerful now, congrats Riku!]

[Oh good. He's not quite as good at cheering people up as say, Sora, but he tries.]

Just stick with someone who can do a decent job of fending off Heartless and you'll be fine.

Y-Yeah, sure.

[Nods a little, glancing in the other direction to hide any potential pink that may be appearing on his face.]

[And of course, she's quite oblivious, just floating closer.]

[Oh good. He'll just. Hang around wherever she decides to go for now.]

[Mostly she'll just be wandering, since she's not going to get hungry like this or anything.]

[He doesn't mind wandering! But will require food breaks every now and then, because jedis need to eat.]

[Oh, she knows he still needs to eat, and will probably end up asking every now and then if he's hungry.]
