will you pause and break my heart?

[there's a familiar looking Axel sprawled out on a random bed. he's passed out, the smell of vodka on his breath. he's in nothing but a blanket, a sight that's not that uncommon... what's visible of his body is covered in scars. the one that stands out the most is the one around his left shoulder, which gives him away completely to those who knew him before.

the only problem is, he's not going to remember you. he's going to be a bit hungover and pissed to the nines when he wakes up. he doesn't remember a thing except getting really drunk the night before with his Roxas, and doing some E and... well, not much else.

Then if I was upset, which I'm not, the reason should be obvious, assuming you're not retarded. And sometimes I wonder about that.

[he looks at her, tilting his head]

[glares at him, ignoring the little stab of something (sadness? jealousy?) through the void where her heart should be]

[those green eyes narrow]

[she should probably get out before she digs herself a deeper hole.]

[doesn't look at him, distracting herself by rummaging through her bag for Akane's favorite stuffed bunny- her yell a minute ago startled the poor kid]

[he considers her, tucking the blanket more securely around his waist as he scoots along to the edge of the bed, getting up to see the baby]

... what's her name?

Akane.

[No sign of the familiar toy, but she does pull out a Buneary plushie. She gives it to Akane anyway, hoping the novelty will be enough]

You named her.

... huh.

[he looks thoughtful, toying with the plushie with Akane, his supposed daughter. it surprises him that he feels so comfortable around her]

[and Akane's happy to see him, smiling and grabbing at his hands. Larxene watches their reunion quietly.]

So, you're mine...

[whispers it to her, knowing 'Xene can probably hear him]

You'd better mean her.

[pretends to be very interested in her new tail. It's surprisingly light for the size of the lightning bolt on the end.]

You're too old to be of my loins, 'Xene.

Heh. Alright.

[glances at the two of them]

I think she missed you.

God knows why.

[dances the plushie in front of her]

[Akane laughs. Aww~]

She's too little to know better.

Hopefully she never will.

[shrugs]

Yeah, she probably won't.

[he falls silent, just watching her, noting the similarities and playing idly with the toy]

[Larxene fidgets a bit, wanting out of here]

Too hungover to watch her for a bit?

Nah... I can handle it.

[thinks- yeah, there's a little time before she'll be wanting fed]

Then I'll come get her in a while.
