[Sora has been quite restless, quiet and fairly unsociable -- something just felt off about today. However, all of those little contractions he's been feeling for two weeks are beginning to culminate in much rougher ones, striking every several minutes. It's only when he stops to chat with stillunburned that he realizes he can't talk through them anymore, and has to take his leave to his bedroom, calmly gathering the towels he had set aside and doing a quick mental check of the supplies stashed in the corner for just this occasion. He knows birth is still hours away, but he knows better than to push it. It seems his nine month journey is coming to an end, a new one about to begin.]

[ooc: baby's official birth date is October 16th, but I won't be around much next Friday, so we're getting this party started early! feel free to come and see Sora and SOMEONE PLEASE COME TAKE RIKKA for a little while ♥ also, doctors are welcome.]

*oh it's not your fault, Aeris! they just squabble sometimes, and it doesn't help that this whole physical experience has left him on edge and hostile*

*and then a mighty push -- it's only about three more of these before the baby comes through, bringing a sense of relief to Sora, though he might be asking for a pretty srs potion sometime soon with all of that bleeding down there*

*totally girds his loins to cut the umbilical cord... then his whole face goes white and he collapses to the floor in a faint in the most manly way possible*

_{{ Cheeks pink, she mouths "Just a second" to Sora before casting Esuna on Ri. Afterward, she carefully cuts the umbilical cord and places it in a little container to give them later. She wraps the baby in a warm blanket and, finally, carefully hands her to Sora. }}

*it's okay, just forgive him for being such a wuss, he's a lovable one. Sora takes the baby with shaking hands, looking her over -- pink baby, squirming with bright light green eyes and silver tufts of hair on her head. He's cleaning her off a bit and just staring, touching her tiny hands and looking up at Aeris*

T-thank you, Aeris. Thank you for helping me bring her into the world...

*he really has no words that do his gratitude justice*

*he looks up at Aeris for a moment, confused*

But... something really hurts uh, down there.

*he's running on adrenaline right now though, his eyes half-lidded as he stares into the baby's eyes and brings her to be cradled in his arms, tears he hopes go unnoticed in his eyes as she settles down to stare back, zooming in on her mother's face. He's also trying to tug Aeris down to give her a big hug and for her to just relax for a moment*

I'll have some water. And you should, too.

*is standing at the side of the bed, eyes wide and staring at the baby, like he can't quite believe this is all real*

She... she's beautiful...

*then snaps out of it*

*he hears the baby whine a little and switches her in his arms, wincing*

She's hungry. Hey, Ri... you do the naming honors, yeah?

*smiles a little and leans on Aeris, feeling a little affectionate towards everyone*

Uhm... it hurts where to baby came through... it felt like my skin was ripping. You don't mind if I feed her, do you?

*he somewhat reluctantly holds the baby out so that Ri can take her and enjoy her for a moment, his eyes glittering at them -- if Aeris takes a look, she'll see that he might really need some restorative item, or stitches, because his skin split where he was too small for the baby to come out*

She is... she's had quite a journey.
