[someone's not been feeling very well lately, and is listlessly playing with some Lego blocks on the kitchen floor. he's fighting rest, and if checking on him one might notice that he's not only burning up with fever, but also has little red blisters starting to spread across his skin. Of course, if you're that close to him you might find yourself in the same predicament in the near future.]

Alright, let's get you out of there. There's some stuff I'm going to put on all those marks to stop it from itching so much, then we'll get you in bed. That sound okay?

[nods, and holds his arms out toward you so you can lift him out]

I got a lot of em, huh? I tried to pop em but they keep coming back!

Don't pop them, or they'll leave marks that won't go away.

[grabs a nice big fluffy towel and lifts him out of the water, wrapping him up.]

[shivers and holds the towel close]

Do I gotta take medicine?

I don't think so.

[sets about drying him off in there.]

[squirms a little when you get his sides because it tickles, and considerably cheered by not having to drink anything yucky]

Okay, now I'm going to put stuff on you so it doesn't itch as much. It'll feel a little weird, but it'll help.

It shouldn't.

[sits him down on the counter, still in the towel, then goes to grab a bottle of something from the cabinet.]

[is very still as he watches you, not wanting to fall]

[finds what he was looking for, then moves the towel so he can access all those blisters, carefully applying the lotion. it's probably a bit cold, but it should help with the itching a lot.]

I can't change the colour, you know. It dries lighter, don't worry.

[pouts still, but it leaves his expression as the itchy feeling does actually start to stop for the most part]

[picks him up in the towel again once he's sufficiently covered, bringing him back into the main room. time to get him into some sleep clothes and tuck him into bed.]

[shivers a bit and curls against you, resting his head on your shoulder. he doesn't really have the energy to do more than watch where you go]

[someone is looking considerably cheered by this decision! and yawning because being sick has worn him out]

[that's good. once he's in that clothing, he's tucking him into the bed, straightening to get a cloth from the bathroom.]
