... people are so weird. Do I even want to know...?

Because being normal is kind of boring. But weird people can be really annoying.

Well .. I wouldn't really mind a little more normal in my life. It's really lacking in it, usually.

I'd like a calm life that's somewhere between ordinary and crazy, but it's kind of hard to accomplish.

Yeah .. that might be nice. Interesting, but not too insane. Too bad that never seems to happen.

It's working out for me, so far.

Just complain a lot. It works eventually.

.. I've done enough complaining for two lifetimes, I think. I'd rather try to fix things on my own.

You can never do enough complaining. Complaining and fixing things on your own are separate things.
