[ This Riku's mostly been trying to keep to herself lately, but right now she's settled into a recliner in the library, flipping through a novel. Or, she was. Now the novel is lying open on the coffee table in front of her, spotted with blood as she yanks tissues out of a box. ]

[Heads over to the pregnancy section and returns a few moments later with a book on old wives tales to determine gender of the baby and a grin.]

I couldn't find anything on cravings, but I did find this. Are you interested?

[Sitting down again by the time she returns, and just... lifts an eyebrow.]

Possibly.

[Opens up the book.]

Let's see...

One, if you crave the heels of bread, you will have a boy; if you like the middle, a girl is on the way.

[Just watches her. Bread is bread, what.]

Wonder why they figure that.

Here's another-- if your hands are dry and chapped, it's a boy, if they're soft, it's a girl.

[She looks down at her hands.]

Mine are pretty soft.

[Looks at her hand. She's kind of been wielding a Keyblade for years, so her hands aren't very soft.]

[Hands her the book.]

[Takes it, scanning over the chart. She looks kind of surprised when she hands it back.]

[Smiles wide.]

[She's beginning to wonder, what with the trend in answers going on. Riku shrugs.]

Depends on which part it's shoved up against. If I was lying down right now... Left.

That means boy! We're both getting pretty good odds here; I like my right.

[Staring because wtf.]

Huh.

Here's a different one... [Reading aloud-] The Mayans determined the sex of the baby by taking the mother's age at conception, and the year of conception. If both are even or both are odd...it's a girl. If one is even and one odd it's a boy.

First one that was different.

[Does it count if time is screwed in this place anyway?]

Yeah, that was wrong for me too. Maybe that one just isn't a good one.

[Reads another and laughs.]

Whoever is more aggressive at the time of conception, the child will be the opposite of that sex

[She doesn't know if it's wrong, but everything else was pointing to male. When Namine reads the next one, she pauses, then just starts laughing.]

[Laughs right along with her!]

[Calms down after a moment, thought she still looks particularly amused.]

Well that answers that.

I guess so.

[Smiles and closes the book up.]

I hope the majority of these are right, I was hoping for a girl.

In that case, I hope you get one.
