And an Axel walks into the room

[Axel had been busy...well as much as he could be. See, he was wanting to celebrate. So he's been moving decorations and such into a room, and commandeered a kitchen..which is where he was at the moment, making all sorts of sweets and food. Feel free to bother him, he's just whistling to himself.]

[the little Shadow waves its hands over its head, then ducks down into the water, melting into the bottom of the tub and slipping out, then out under the door. Riku is staring at his arm, where a long, thin line of blood is welling up from the cut, his eyes slowly welling up and lower lip starting to tremble]

[Axel sighed, and hefted Riku out of the bathtub, sitting him on a counter and wrapping a big fluffy towel around him. Then he gently took Riku's arm and looked at the scratch.]

Hm, it could have been worse, kiddo. We'll get this fixed up right as rain.

[He dug around in the medicine chest and pulled out some neosporin and some gauze.]

[watches you, leaning away a bit when he sees you come toward him with that stuff]

...gonna hurt more?

[He smiled.]

No, kiddo. Neosporin doesn't hurt. Bactine does, but I remember when I was a little munchkin and how much I hated the spray stuff.

....'kay.

[has no idea what Bactine is, but he'll hold his arm out again, his eyes scrunched shut]

[And Axel will very carefully apply the ointment and then bandage up his arm.]

There we go, all better.

[opens his eyes to look at his arm, then thrusts his lower lip out at you]

You forgot to kiss it!

[He gasped.]

Oh no! How could I ever have forgot!

[He makes a very dramatic show of kissing Riku's boo boo.]

There, and now it's all better.

[giggles and holds both arms out to you now, all sign of his earlier pouting gone]

[Making sure Riku is dry and wrapped snugly in that towel, Axel does pick him up and carry him into the bedroom. He sat down on the bed with Riku on his lap and turned on the TV.]

What do you want to watch?

[squirms a bit to get comfortable, then leans back against you]

Cartoons?

[Ruffles his hair and turns it to Cartoon Network. Oh look. Scooby Doo.]

Scooby sound good?

[nods, his eyes already glued to the screen. it's been a while since he's seen a tv around here, let alone one that had cartoons]

[ooc:Sorry, things got hectic again, but it's calmed down so back to responding. I apologize for the time.]

[Axel is of course watching as well. He always did love that mutt.]

[ooc: no prob!]

[watches avidly, though after a while you might notice his eyes are starting to droop. he's clean, warm and feeling comfortably safe, and very much fighting not to fall asleep]

[Axel looked down on him, and gently stroked his hair.]

Sleep if you want kiddo. I'm not going anywhere, you're safe.

[as if those were the magic words, Riku is finally turning slightly to curl against you, his breath soon evening out as he falls asleep]

[And Axel tightens his hold, protecting Riku from whatever he thinks he needs protected from. Hope Riku doesn't mind having an older brother figure, cause Axel's going to be looking out for him from now on.]

Good night, kiddo.

[ooc: Thank you so much for having the patience with me. I've thoroughly enjoyed rping with both the younger and older Riku.]

[he's just afraid of monsters under the bed and in the closets, and the dark. it is nice to know that there's people willing to keep an eye out for him- good luck because he thinks Saixes are pretty!]

[Well then, he probably should meet Axel's friend Saix. He's a sweetheart with kids.]
