Donald, Goofy, we gotta hurry-

[ Ope, and out of a door in the middle of the hall stumbles yet another Sora haphazardly before tripping, sending his Keyblade halfway across the floor. After he lets out a soft groan said Sora pushes himself back up, glancing around, then looking back to the door. ]

Hey, this doesn't look like any part of the castle I've seen before...

[ And doing what only seems natural he heads back to the door, only to find some empty bedroom instead of the castle library. ]

You'll never see every single room. I've been here seven years and there's still places I haven't seen.

Seven years?!

[ Oh. Oh snap. Now he looks worried again. :C ]

[Shrugs. He doesn't look all that concerned.]

I managed. And I'm happy that things turned out the way they did, to be honest.

Yeah, but what about your world? The people back home probably miss you!

[There's a tiny bit of sadness in his smile now.]

There's nothing that can be done about it though. And I would rather stay here anyway. There's people in here who would miss me even more.

... Oh.

I guess no matter where you go, there'll be friends who'd miss you. Seven years is a long time, too. But even if you are here, your friends back home will always be in your heart!

Yeah, I know. I've thought about home a lot lately, but there are people here I wouldn't trade any of the worlds for.

[Or rather, a specific person.]

But if you're happy, then that's what counts! I guess after that long any place can feel like home. I know Kairi really likes it on the islands, even if it's not where she came from.

[ And he gives a sad little smile there. ]

That's true. And she was there for the younger part of her life, when things tend to make a bigger impression on you.

Yeah, there's that, too, but I dunno. If there's really that many people, then you've gotta have a lot of new friends, too.

Not too many, but the ones I have are pretty close. I'm actually from the future version of this place, so I don't know as many people as I did in my time.

Huh? There's a future version of this place?

Yep. A lot darker, and there are more heartless around. Thankfully I didn't wind up here by myself though. Not sure how I would have handled that.

That doesn't sound good at all! But uh. If you're in the past, can't you change all that?

Nope. Whatever I tried to do would end up causing that future. It's called a self-fulfilling prophecy. Time travel theory and all that.

... Oh. So there's no way to just get rid of the heartless?

You should know that one, Sora. They'll always exist, especially with the people in here.

Are the people here really that bad?

Mm. More than you'd believe. There are some pretty sick people in here, a lot of them sadists. But there are plenty of good people too.

Sadists? But they can't be as bad as Maleficent, right?

Worse, actually. I'm not sure she really cares about hurting people so much as getting what she wants no matter the cost. The people here thrive on watching other people suffer.

[His hands might be curling into fists a bit, but he's trying to keep a calm demeanor.]

But how come nobody's stopped 'em? If they're causing trouble, then we can't just let them keep doing it!

People here don't die permanently, Sora. They come back. And then it's just a cycle of vengeance.
