THE BALL

[Today is the day of the ball, and as such the entry to the Grand Ball Room is wide open, a sound of music echoing through the halls. Not too far away are signs pointing to the general area, intended to help those who are new as well as remind those who are interested.

The room itself seems incredibly clean, thanks to a few enchanted brooms, some of which are still there to clean up any messes from the food. Speaking of food, there is a large table with many delicious meals to choose from, from classy foods to simpler snacks such as chips and even a bit of treats for the children and others who enjoy sweets. And of course, beverages are present, such as punch, water, soft drinks, and even a bit of wine for the adults. Off to the side is an ice box, which may in fact contain sea salt ice cream.

Similar to the last ball, there is a comfortable area set off to the side for those who would rather relax, maybe take a break from dancing. It consists of comfortable chairs and couches for the guests, and even smaller tables for beverages.

Of course, the main attraction is the dance floor itself, which is dimly lit by a chandelier and the occasional candles here and there. The aforementioned music at the moment is classical, a sort of waltz and seems to be coming from no apparent source-- but one may notice somewhere in the ball room that Mickey himself is present, dressed not only in proper masquerade attire, but also with a familiar hat.

Anyone is welcome to enjoy the ball. However, if trouble should arise Mickey does have a Keyblade and would be more than willing to intervene; this is meant for enjoyment, not violence.]

[he's really just terrified that Kairi will reject him once she finds out -- which is why he's just going to go pale and worry himself sick over debating whether or not to tell her.]

[cracks up laughing -- he's having more fun listening to Kairi react to the movie than he is watching the movie itself, although he doesn't mind tossing out his own commentary every once in a while.]

I'm waiting for someone to rip someone else's heart out with his bare hands -- oh, there it is!

[Sora is normally delighted by it in the movies! but he understands, and runs his hand through her hair, waiting for it to pass.]

*well, she is only to an extent, and peeks around when you say it's over, but she's enjoying those hair pettings too much to move away, nuzzling gently*

*grins and kisses his shoulder, going back to watching the flick, fighting the sleepies with you playing with her hair like that*

[he goes back to watching as well, fingers still sliding through her hair .. Kairi might notice if she looks up that Sora's pretty close to dozing off himself, though.]

*giggles a bit and shuts off her lights, turning the bed back, and crawling under the blankets, holding them open for you to join her -- she trusts you Sora, that's a good sign*

[he smiles at her in the dark, and scooches underneath the covers to curl up next to her.]

Mmm, maybe I'm a little tired ...

*laughs and gets cozy and warm next to him, maybe hugging a stuffed animal*

[he sort of has a habit of needing to hold onto something while he sleeps as well -- he doesn't exactly have a stuffed animal or a pillow, though, but hopefully Kairi won't mind standing in.]

*she'd be more than happy to, and wriggles into his arms, her own sliding around his waist, the stuffed animal sandwiched between them*

*well when she wakes up the next morning, Sora, she'll gently reach over into her night stand drawer and get her camera, thinking your bed-head is probably her favourite thing to see first thing in the morning*
