[Today there is a ~~red mummy~~man dressed all in red wandering through the halls of the dressing room with a general look of confusion on his face. Must be a newcomer.

That or he's lost his way. But feel free to come and talk to him all the same.]

This place and death.

Ah. Right.

[That is going to take some getting used to.]

They don't hit everyone for some reason, but you don't exactly get to choose if they do or don't.

Perhaps it's the nature of this place.

Probably.

So many new things to get accustomed to...

It's not as hard as it seems.

How long have you been here?

...less than a month until the one year anniversary.

A fairly long stay. I see.

There are people who've been pulled here from the future. Fifteen years.

[blink. blink.]

I'm not sure whether to call that impressive or unfortunate.

Unfortunate. Those people never got to see their homes again. Some of them haven't known anything other than this place. And it gets a lot worse in the future; there are Heartless everywhere, and they're constant. On the other hand, they're here now, in their past, where it's a lot safer.

I suppose it would be too much to ask for this place to remain free of Heartless forever.

That would be nice.

[wistful.]

It would.

But, as long as there's darkness in peoples' hearts and all that.

[A solemn nod.]

Kind of hard not to know.

Provided you are familiar with the Heartless, at least.
